We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Program Manager to lead and oversee complex engineering projects in our organization. The ideal candidate will act as a central point of coordination for cross-functional teams, ensuring that engineering programs are executed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Program Management:
    • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering programs from concept to completion.
    • Define program goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
    • Establish program milestones and manage dependencies across projects and teams.
  2. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Coordinate and align with internal teams, including product development, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, to ensure program objectives are met.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders to communicate progress, risks, and program updates.
  3. Risk Management and Problem-Solving:
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
    • Resolve technical and operational challenges that may arise during program execution.
  4. Budget and Resource Management:
    • Manage program budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources while meeting financial targets.
    • Work with leadership to allocate personnel and technical resources effectively across projects.
  5. Process Improvement:
    • Evaluate and improve program management methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Implement best practices, tools, and templates to optimize engineering workflows.
  6. Leadership and Mentorship:
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior program managers or project leads within the engineering department.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  7. Performance Tracking and Reporting:
    • Develop and deliver regular reports on program performance, including status updates, metrics, and risk assessments.
    • Utilize data-driven insights to recommend adjustments or improvements to ongoing programs.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience:
    • 7+ years of program or project management experience in an engineering or technical environment.
    • Experience managing large-scale, complex projects in industries such as energy, manufacturing, or technology.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet).
    • Strong understanding of engineering principles, systems, and product development cycles.
    • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other project management frameworks.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
    • Ability to manage competing priorities and navigate ambiguity effectively.

Preferred Skills:

  • PMP, PgMP, or similar project management certification.
  • Experience in the energy storage or renewable energy sector.
  • Knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time, on-site/hybrid/remote (specify as applicable).
  • May involve occasional travel to manufacturing sites, suppliers, or project locations.
