Job Summary
Our Test Development Engineer verifies that ONE’s products, systems and components meet their design specifications and performance requirements. Designs, organizes, directs, and completes technical work to develop new and existing product testing and verification equipment to support the launch of new and existing products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Technical expert for the development of formation and test strategies including development and implementation of new equipment and test protocols
- Hands-on work with hardware, electrical, and software to execute test plans, analyze data, submit reports and work with other teams on how to improve tested systems.
- Create test specifications to verify and validate both hardware and software logic.
- Analyze test data, to inform and support design decisions, identify failure modes, and optimize system performance
- Work with equipment suppliers on design and build of formation and test equipment
- Lead and support engineering test activities by applying engineering practices, principles, and various analysis tools to achieve performance targets and standards (regulatory/industry).
- Optimization of Board/Component/Module Level manufacturing line layout for formation and test processes
- Design and development of validation and production equipment: Functional testers, end of line testers, EMC test boxes, etc.
- Support implementation of ONE safety specifications and equipment safety reviews
- Develop test strategies for implementation of next generation battery cell technology
- Perform any additional duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
- Required B.S. in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field
- 5 + years’ experience in designing and development of validation and production test equipment
- Enjoys working in cross-functional groups and leading/working alongside technicians
- Data driven thinker, with good experience in Data Analytics
- Strong knowledge of DVP&R, Board/Component/Module Level operations
- Statistical background a plus
- CAD experience a plus
- Required experience in TestStand, VeriStand, and LabVIEW.
- Able to plan/schedule many concurrent activities in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Exhibit outstanding attention to details

Work Schedule
- Full-time 40 hours and generally scheduled Monday through Friday 8am-6pm EST
- Work schedule to be established with supervisor to ensure Company’s client and business needs are met
