Primary Role:
The Shuraako Loan Settlement Analyst will be responsible for the tasks related to the settlement of loans from the group’s Fund management program. The Loan Settlement Analyst will assemble, prepare and verify closing documents after a loan is approved. The loan settlement Analyst will closely collaborate with a global team to execute disbursements accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner.

Finance and Administration Manager with a dotted line to the Puntland Field Manager.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Documentation Preparation
- Assemble all supporting documents required to initiate investment disbursement from the Fund.
- Verify supporting documents to ensure they meet the terms and conditions of the investment.
- Use investment templates to generate agreements outlining the terms of the investment.
- Verify the information in the agreements and supporting documents to ensure accuracy as per the terms of the investment (including repayment conditions, asset details, and collateral specifications).
- Work with the legal department to draft any agreement amendments needed.
- Maintain the investment agreement templates.
- Ensure investment applications are properly and systematically filed to maintain accurate records, facilitate easy retrieval, and support organized documentation management.
- Undertake the transfer and verification of assets for Puntland State investees, ensuring that all documentation is complete and accurately maintained.
- Compile and organize investment disbursement documents.
- Coordinate document review and signature among all parties involved.
- Work in close coordination with the Finance and Administration Manager.
Compliance & Background Checks
- Ensure Murabaha contracts comply with Sharia principles, internal policies, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Produce watchlist reports and review applicant names against a watchlist database.
- Escalate any suspicious background check reports to Fund management and Shuraako Capital’s legal counsel.
Disbursement Process
- Prepare wire application and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy and submit to finance for review and disbursement.
- Prepare supporting documentation and wires submitted for agent payments.
- Track investment settlement status on the fund’s database.
- Maintain proper records of the investment documents.
Support with administrative tasks, as needed.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCES:
Education and Professional Experience
- Undergraduate degree is required. Preferably a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Islamic Banking, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–4 years of experience in investment processing, settlement, or investment banking operations.
- Knowledge of Murabaha investment lifecycle management and financial documentation.
- Understanding of Islamic finance contracts such as Murabaha contract.
- Familiarity with Islamic banking finance regulations and compliance standards.
- Knowledge of U.S. sanctions laws and regulations is preferred.
- Past experience in data collection processes and/or interpreting business documents.
- Past experience in bookkeeping, paralegal or similar fields.
- Past experience in and/or comfortable reporting to multiple managers, working across departments to complete tasks, and dealing with ambiguity, or false-starts/failures.
- Past experience creating, improving, and/or implementing administrative processes and procedures.
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Strong analytical and numerical ability.
- Superb organizational skills and proven analytical abilities.
- Strong computer and word processing skills using Google Suite and MS Office, including a high level of proficiency in MS Excel.
- Ability to follow and keep track of complex processes.
