About the Position:
OneEnergy is seeking a Project Delivery Intern for our solar energy construction portfolio across the United States. The Project Delivery Intern is a full-time summer position that will report to the Sn Project Manager, Delivery in our Madison, WI office. This position will be supporting the execution of projects, starting with the engineering and procurement phase, and leading up to commercial operation. Qualifying candidates will have a demonstrated track record of success in working cohesively across several project support functions including development, engineering, construction, and finance to meet scheduled project completion dates.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and supporting the planning and active construction of multiple projects.
- Assisting Project Manager(s) with submittal compilation, purchase orders, on-site job walk- throughs, change orders, request for information, pay application support and close-out documents.
- Reviewing project schedules and assisting in the procurement of major equipment.
- Processing and managing RFIs and submittals, project closeout documentation.
- Reviewing and managing project quality requirements.
- Providing steady and reliable communication while also managing complicated schedules, budgets, contractors, people, risks, and other resources.
- Ensuring that all safety, quality, and environmental policies of the Company and project owners are followed by all project personnel.
Requirements:
- Pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree, preferably in Construction Management or Engineering, or 2+ years of experience supporting operations, engineering or construction.
- Excellent, professional written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with proven ability to take ownership, initiative, and accountability.
- A demonstrated ability with MS Office, MS Windows and project tracking software is required.
- Hands-on construction experience and a practical understanding about the general construction and electrical trades.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of integrity and organizational capacity to manage multiple projects.
- A proven ability to provide efficient, timely, and reliable service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and self-starter, with proven ability to take ownership, initiative, and accountability.
- Must have a “roll up your sleeves and let’s get the job done right” type attitude.
- Demonstrated qualities of integrity, credibility, and professional responsibility.
- A willingness to contribute to our culture which thrives on building trust and holding one another accountable.
- Ability to travel and access sites of varying terrain about 20% of working time; must carry an active driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
