Position Objective:
The Associate Geotechnical Project Engineer will support multiple engineering efforts with competing 
deadlines and resources. The position provides opportunities to contribute to technical designs, 
collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and gain hands-on experience in geotechnical and structural 
engineering. The position collaborates closely with our Engineering, Delivery, and Development teams 
on a diverse selection of solar projects.


Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain design calculators, spreadsheets, and analysis tools.
• Maintain well-organized project files, calculations, and documentation to support quality control 
and knowledge sharing.
• Under the supervision of senior engineer(s): 
▪ Review and interpret geotechnical engineering data and reports.
▪ Design pile and shallow foundations.
▪ Assist with road design. 
▪ Develop engineering recommendations and conduct geotechnical risk assessments for 
potential and active project sites. 
▪ Monitor and document earthwork, pile installation, and road construction to verify 
compliance with engineering plans and specifications.
• Collaborate with civil, structural, and electrical engineers on integrated designs.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards. 


Requirements:
• 4-year Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical field. Specialization 
in geotechnical engineering or structural engineering is preferred but not required
• 0 – 2 years of experience working in a professional engineering or construction environment, 
including internships. 
• Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering exam (or plan to complete)
• Strong interest in geotechnical and structural engineering, including internship/academic 
exposure
• Solid understanding of geotechnical principles, including the following, is considered an asset:
▪ geotechnical investigation methods and procedures: soil and rock classification, geotechnical laboratory and field testing or foundation design
• Fundamental knowledge of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D is considered an asset. 
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of integrity and organizational capacity to manage 
multiple projects.
• Self-motivated with proven ability to take ownership, initiative, and accountability.
• Demonstrated ability to provide efficient, timely, and reliable service to internal and external 
stakeholders. Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with multiple parties. 
• Strong commitment to safety. 
• Ability to travel and access sites of varying terrain. Position requires some travel up to 20% of 
working time; must carry an acceptable driving record and an active driver’s license. 
• A willingness to contribute to our culture which thrives on building trust and holding one
