Preventative Maintenance

  • Execute scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) tasks on ON.energy BESS equipment, inverters, and associated electrical infrastructure in accordance with OEM requirements and site-specific maintenance plans.
  • Perform routine inspections, functional testing, and condition monitoring to identify potential issues before they result in equipment failure or unplanned downtime.
  • Maintain accurate PM records and equipment histories within the CMMS, ensuring all work orders are opened, updated, and closed in real time.
  • Plan and prioritize PM activities across multiple sites, adhere to scheduling windows, and notify the O&M
  • Manager promptly of any deferred work, observed anomalies, or required escalations.

Reactive Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Respond to equipment alarms, faults, and unplanned failures in a timely manner, performing systematic diagnosis and root cause identification.

  • Perform component-level repair and replacement on inverters, battery modules, switchgear, and associated balance-of-plant equipment.
  • Document all corrective maintenance activities, findings, and parts used within the CMMS and report outcomes to the O&M Manager.
  • Support occasional after-hours or weekend response when site conditions require it, keeping the O&M Manager informed with timely status updates.

Site Coordination & Continuous Improvement

  • Supervise and coordinate contractors, vendors, and ON.energy resources performing service work on site.
  • Support coordination with energy dispatch to schedule outages and complete performance testing for services work.
  • Identify and report field service risks to the O&M Manager and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Travel regularly between Houston-area project sites to execute planned work and to investigate and resolve issues, or supervise their resolution, as needed.
  • Travel as requested to ON.energy projects outside the Houston area to support maintenance, troubleshooting, or project needs at other sites.
  • Support continuous improvement by documenting lessons learned and opportunities to increase efficiency.

CMMS & Data Integrity

  • Create, update, and close work orders within the CMMS for all preventative and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with site data entry standards.
  • Ensure equipment histories, parts consumption, and labor records are accurately captured to support asset lifecycle management and reporting.
  • Follow CMMS workflows and procedures as directed by the O&M Manager; contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance records and documentation quality.

Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to all site safety protocols, OSHA standards, NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements, and ON.energy work instructions at all times.
  • Assist in the monitoring and enforcement of safety procedures, quality standards, and best practices on site.
  • Participate actively in toolbox talks, safety briefings, incident investigations, and corrective action implementation.
  • Maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures are followed for all maintenance activities.
  • Report all near-misses, incidents, and unsafe conditions to the O&M Manager immediately.

Qualifications
