About the Role
We are currently looking for a Systems Administrator I. The System Administrator I that provides end user desktop and server support via phone, email, and in person. The System Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. The System Administrator participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within client infrastructure and ensures the system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to each clients' needs. The ideal System Administrator I will have a passion for and drive to keep up with the latest technology trends, a hunger for learning, and understands the core principles of good customer service. (This position is remote, but the candidate must be based in Ciudad Juárez)

 Role & Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates professionalism over the phone and & person; consistently high customer satisfaction; practices binary exclusion; consistently follows departmental & company processes; follows documentation processes in Atlas & IT Glue. 
  • Desktop Troubleshooting, software management, and desktop printer management. 
  • AD Administration, including user account management, password resets, assigning users to groups. 
  • Virtual Desktop Management 
  • Administration of Microsoft Portals & Troubleshooting. Including License Management & Account Management 
  • Knowledge of Day-to-Day Security Best Practices [i.e., Password sharing, 2FA, anit spam, endpoint security] 
  • Demonstrates Understanding of Group Policy. 
  • Circuit Troubleshooting & ISP Engagement; Comfortable with RMA Initiation; Demonstrates understanding of physical networking. 
  • Virtual Desktop Management Using Documented Instructions. Can Power cycle VMs in at Least 1 Platform (DaaS, vCloud, vCenter) 
  • Anti-Virus Use; DUO MFA New User Best Practices; Security Awareness Training 
  • Run Documented scripts from NCentral’s Automation Manager

  • Ability to work through a variety of methods including mail, Microsoft Teams, telephone, and face-to-face 
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills  
  • Strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities with ability to multitask in fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to learn and willingness to take on more complex tasks  
  • Ability to diligently create and maintain clear and concise documentation  
  • Ability to clearly relay technical data to non-technical individuals  
  • Proven ability to work successfully with limited supervision 
  • Experience with ticketing systems a strong plus! 
 
 

 Technical Requirements 

  • 2+ years experience providing end-user desktop support and infrastructure systems management 
  • Microsoft Edge Devices – Install and support Windows 10/11 OS including command line and client support    
  • Microsoft Server/Cloud – Hands on experience with Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 and Microsoft 365  
  • Active Directory administration 
  • Mobile Devices – Install and configure supported iOS and Android devices  
  • Software – Install and support computer and mobile device software issues including Office 2016/2019/365 suite and line of business applications and work with vendor support.  
  • Hardware – Install and support physical components of hardware and work with vendor support.    
  • Network – Basic understanding of TCP/IP protocols and various networking devices.   
  • Security – Install and support common Anti-Virus and Endpoint Threat Detection software.  Basic awareness of security threats and incident response.  
  • Spam Filtering – Familiarity with usage and basic support 
  • Backup Systems – Basic support and troubleshooting 
  • Familiarity with MFA/SSO/Web Security 
  • Proficiency supporting Mac computers a plus! 
 
 

  Preferred Qualifications 

  • Technology related Bachelor’s or Associates degree, or related IT experience 
  • Industry relevant certifications such as: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ a plus!
