The Principal Talent Acquisition Partner, Executive Search is a senior individual-contributor strategic talent advisor responsible for shaping and executing executive hiring strategies that directly influence OneStream’s leadership capability, organizational evolution, and long-term business performance.

This role operates at the intersection of executive search, business strategy, leadership assessment, market intelligence, and stakeholder influence. While disciplined search execution is a baseline expectation, the greater value of the role is in helping senior leaders make high-quality, evidence-based talent decisions for the most critical leadership roles across the company.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Search Leadership

  • Partner with executive leaders, People Operations, and Talent Acquisition leadership to translate business priorities into executive search strategies, success profiles, assessment criteria, and decision frameworks.
  • Apply executive search judgment to determine when to build, buy, accelerate, pause, or recalibrate a search based on business need, market conditions, stakeholder alignment, and leadership requirements.
  • Actively lead and remain deeply engaged in externally supported executive searches, ensuring OneStream retains clear ownership for search strategy, firm performance, role status, risk management, and decision quality.
  • Serve as a credible advisor to senior leaders by bringing clarity, structure, and informed recommendations to complex and sensitive hiring decisions.

Market Intelligence and Leadership Talent Strategy

  • Build and sustain executive relationships and strategic talent pipelines that extend beyond immediate openings and strengthen OneStream’s access to future leadership talent.
  • Leverage OneStream’s strategic relationship with its private equity partners to understand investor priorities, access relevant market perspective, and position leadership opportunities in the context of long-term value creation.

Assessment, Decision Quality, and Stakeholder Influence

  • Lead executive assessment with a focus on business impact, leadership capability, cultural contribution, growth potential, and alignment to the needs of the role and the broader organization.
  • Synthesize candidate evidence, stakeholder feedback, market context, and business requirements into recommendations that support informed, balanced, and defensible hiring decisions.
  • Facilitate alignment across senior stakeholders, constructively challenge assumptions when needed, and help leaders navigate ambiguity, tradeoffs, and risk in executive selection.
  • Interact regularly with Board members, private equity partners, and senior executive stakeholders to align on leadership requirements and support high-stakes executive hiring decisions.

Candidate Experience, Confidentiality, and Executive Presence

  • Represent OneStream with executive candidates in a way that is compelling, accurate, discreet, and aligned to the company’s strategy, culture, leadership expectations, and value creation opportunity.
  • Actively sell senior executive candidates on the opportunity, tailoring the narrative to each candidate’s motivations, career goals, and decision criteria.
  • Exercise sound judgment in managing sensitive searches, confidential information, stakeholder communications, and candidate relationships where timing, tone, and discretion are critical.
  • Create a high-touch, executive-level candidate experience that reinforces OneStream’s employment brand and supports successful closing, transition, and onboarding outcomes.

Data, Insights, and Executive Decision Support

  • Translate executive search data, pipeline health, assessment outcomes, and stakeholder feedback into practical insights that inform search strategy and leadership decision-making.
  • Use data to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities across executive searches, including talent availability, candidate conversion, decision velocity, interview effectiveness, compensation dynamics, and competitive positioning.
  • Maintain a detailed, current understanding of each executive search’s progress, risks, candidate slate quality, stakeholder alignment, and external search firm performance, particularly for roles led or supported by retained search partners.
  • Provide executive-ready narratives that move beyond status reporting to help leaders understand tradeoffs, recalibrate expectations, and make timely, high-quality hiring decisions.

Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain disciplined search execution, accurate documentation, executive-ready updates, and clear communication as foundational expectations of the role.
  • Use search outcomes and process learning to improve executive recruiting practices and strengthen OneStream’s approach to senior leadership hiring over time.
