JOB SUMMARY 

The Sales Planning Manager plays a critical role in accelerating Onnit’s retail growth and driving a successful business turnaround. This role owns sales planning and strategic direction, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to develop effective, data-driven plans and holding the field sales team accountable for executing against them. You are a confident, independent thinker who thrives in a matrixed organization and consistently exceeds KPIs that move the business forward. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Lead the monthly sales planning process across all retail channels, identifying forecast variances and implementing corrective actions to improve forecasting accuracy. 
  • Collaborate with field sales managers and brokers to develop and align on a unified, comprehensive joint business plan. 
  • Serve as a key contributor in the S&OP process, ensuring accurate demand forecasting and alignment with inventory and production planning. 
  • Partner with sales teams to design and execute account-specific promotions, displays, and promotional strategies that support overall business objectives. 
  •  Serve as the subject matter expert and primary administrator for the Trade Promotion Management platform, ensuring data integrity and cross-functional usability.  
  • Monitor and analyze actual sales performance versus forecast, publishing actionable sales analysis reports and forecast accuracy metrics. 
  • Provide timely sales forecasts to marketing to ensure visibility into retail dynamics and support successful innovation launches. 
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain to manage inventory levels and product fill rates, ensuring alignment with organizational KPIs. 
  • Act as the central liaison between Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Supply Chain to proactively identify and manage business risks and opportunities, facilitating cross-functional communication and continuous feedback loops. 
  • This position plays a critical role in driving forecast accuracy, cross-functional alignment, and commercial execution across the organization  

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILTIES 

  • Manage sales materials for sell-in efforts, including price lists, product sell-in decks, and other sales materials. 
  • Support pricing and promotional strategy to mitigate channel conflict while achieving topline revenue and profitability objectives. Partner cross-functionally to develop and execute display and merchandising strategy, manage SKU rationalization, and optimize post-promotional analysis (PPA) to drive sustainable growth. 
  • Collaborate with demand planning to adjust volume forecasts based on real-time sales trends, supporting efficient supply chain planning. 
  • Lead the development and execution of promotional event reviews, partnering with Finance and Accounting to evaluate trade spend effectiveness. 
  • Lead analysis and provide insights from customer-specific and syndicated data.   
  • Communicate key findings and strategic insights to a broad range of stakeholders, including field sales, operations, and ONNIT leadership. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 4-6 years of experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) with a focus on sales analysis, forecasting, and/or sales planning required  
  •  Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data sets, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations for sales and leadership teams. 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. 
  • Ability to work in ambiguity and thrive in a dynamic, multi-project, deadline-driven environment. 
  • Experience working with high-performance field sales organizations and broker networks, with a demonstrated ability to influence and align stakeholders across multiple sales channels. 

Candidates are not required to reside in Austin, Texas but must be willing to travel as needed to support business operations. 

Onnit takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. This position is bonus eligible and employees are eligible to participate in our benefits plan. $135,000 - $145,000 USD
