Fix -It Group is one of the fastest-growing home service platforms in the United States.  We currently have 7 locations in 5 states and are in the process of opening 4 more locations in an additional 4 states.  We provide HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services with industry-leading customer experience. As we continue to grow, we are building the next generation of leaders to drive revenue, develop teams, and lead high-performing service operations.

This role is for General Manager in Training and is based out of the Dallas location, The On Time Experts in Garland, TX.

This role is ideal for big-box retail leaders (Store Managers, General Managers, District Managers, Co- and Assistant Managers) who are ready to transition into the trades industry and grow into senior leadership.

The Role
Our General Manager in Training (GMIT) program prepares future General Managers by teaching every aspect of running a high-performing service business.

You will work closely with senior leadership to learn how to drive revenue, manage operations, develop teams, and coach technicians on sales and customer experience.

What You’ll Do

• Drive revenue growth and improve team sales performance
  • Coach technicians on customer communication and sales skills
  • Lead sales training 
  • Monitor KPIs, performance dashboards, and operational metrics
  • Help manage P&L, payroll, margins, and operational performance
  • Lead team meetings and build a culture of accountability
  • Support recruiting, hiring, and development of strong team members

What We’re Looking For

• Leadership experience managing teams and driving sales performance
  • Experience managing KPIs, P&L, and operational metrics
  • Strong coaching and team development skills
  • Competitive, results-driven leadership style
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in retail, service, or high-volume operations preferred
  • Trades experience not required – we provide training

Important:
Candidates must be willing to relocate for leadership opportunities as we expand into new markets.  High potential candidates may see relocation inside of 12 months.

• $80,000 – $120,000 base salary depending on experience
