In June 2026, we raised a $20 million Series A led by Payward, the parent company of Kraken, valuing Onyx at $220 million less than one year after emerging from beta. Our team comes from Jane Street, DraftKings, Robinhood, xAI, SIG, HRT, and Harvard.

We’re building Onyx in New York with a small team, serious momentum, and no interest in moving slowly. The product is live. The market is growing. The category is still ours to define.

The Role.

We’re hiring a Trade Operations Associate to help keep Onyx’s markets accurate, reliable, and moving.

This is a hands-on role at the center of the platform. You’ll work closely with trading, engineering, product, finance, compliance, and customer experience to monitor live markets, resolve issues, improve operational systems, and support accurate settlement.

Markets move in real time, and the details matter. You should be comfortable making sound decisions under pressure, investigating unusual activity, and owning an issue from the moment it appears through final resolution.

What You'll Own:

• Monitor live markets, trading activity, pricing, liquidity, exposure, and platform performance.
• Support market launches, suspensions, and settlements, ensuring outcomes are resolved accurately.
• Investigate trade breaks, reconciliation differences, unusual activity, and customer-impacting incidents.
• Partner with engineering, product, and compliance to resolve issues and manage operational risk.
• Build controls, reporting, playbooks, and automated workflows that scale trade operations.
• Provide coverage during major events, market-moving news, and periods of high trading volume.

You’ll Do Well Here If You:

• Are analytical, highly detail-oriented, and decisive in real-time environments.
• Exercise sound judgment, communicate clearly, and know when to escalate.
• Are comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and operational systems.
• Bring strong ownership and an interest in trading, prediction markets, sports, crypto, or fintech.
• Can work a flexible schedule when market activity requires coverage.

Even Better If You Have:

• Experience in trading, market, brokerage, risk, settlement, or financial operations.
• Familiarity with orders, positions, exposure, liquidity, reconciliation, and settlement.
• Experience monitoring live systems or managing operational incidents.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, data visualization, or workflow automation.

Location:

• This role is based in our NoHo, Manhattan office, with core in-office days Tuesday through Thursday. The role may require additional coverage during major sporting events, market-moving news, and periods of high trading activity.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Onyx is unable to provide employment sponsorship for this position.

Compensation and Benefits:

• The anticipated base salary range for this position is $80,000–$120,000, depending on experience, impact, and scope, plus a target bonus and equity.
