Product Manager, Predictions
About Onyx.
Onyx is building the market for people who enjoy being right. Our consumer platform lets people take positions on what happens next across sports, prediction markets, crypto, financial markets, politics, culture, and real-world events.
More than one million users have already found Onyx, driving over $2 billion in monthly notional volume across our social sports platform. Now, we’re bringing that same energy into regulated financial markets through Onyx Predictions, a CFTC-registered introducing broker and NFA member.
In June 2026, we raised a $20 million Series A led by Payward, the parent company of Kraken, valuing Onyx at $220 million less than one year after emerging from beta. Our team comes from Jane Street, DraftKings, Robinhood, xAI, SIG, HRT, and Harvard.
We’re building Onyx in New York with a small team, serious momentum, and no interest in moving slowly. The product is live. The market is growing. The category is still ours to define.
The Role.
We’re hiring a Product Manager to help build Onyx Predictions and define how a new generation of customers experiences prediction markets.
You’ll own critical parts of the product across market discovery, trading, positions, funding, settlement, and the broader customer journey. You’ll work directly with engineering, design, trading, data, operations, compliance, and leadership to turn complex financial systems into a product that feels fast, intuitive, and unmistakably Onyx.
This is a hands-on product role. You’ll set direction, write clear requirements, make tradeoffs, and stay close to execution through launch and iteration. Some foundations already exist. Others are still a blank page. You’ll have meaningful ownership over what we build and how the product evolves.
What You’ll Own:
- Define the product strategy and roadmap for key areas of Onyx Predictions.
- Build intuitive experiences across market discovery, order entry, positions, balances, funding, and settlement.
- Translate complex market mechanics and regulatory requirements into simple customer experiences.
- Own products from discovery and requirements through launch, measurement, and iteration.
- Partner with engineering and design to make decisions and keep execution moving.
- Work with trading and operations on market structure, liquidity, pricing, settlement, and incident workflows.
- Partner with legal and compliance to incorporate requirements from the beginning.
- Use customer research, behavioral data, market activity, and competitive insights to set priorities.
- Define success metrics and identify friction across onboarding, funding, trading, and retention.
- Coordinate launches across engineering, design, data, operations, growth, customer experience, and compliance.
- Have experience owning and shipping consumer products from concept through production.
- Can turn ambiguous problems into clear priorities and executable plans.
- Have strong product judgment and a high standard for customer experience.
- Are comfortable working closely with engineers on technically complex products.
- Can understand complicated systems and explain them simply.
- Use data, customer insight, and first-principles thinking to make decisions.
- Communicate clearly and align teams with different priorities.
- Move quickly while maintaining a high bar for quality, reliability, and compliance.
- Take responsibility for outcomes, not just the roadmap.
Even Better If You Have:
- Built products in prediction markets, trading, crypto, sportsbooks, gaming, or consumer fintech.
- Experience with order entry, execution, market data, positions, balances, settlement, or payments.
- Worked on regulated financial products or partnered closely with legal and compliance teams.
- Built consumer products involving real-time data or transactional workflows.
- Improved onboarding, identity verification, deposits, conversion, engagement, or retention.
- Worked directly with traders, market makers, exchanges, brokers, or financial partners.
- Helped launch a new product or category at an early-stage company.
- Have a strong interest in markets, sports, politics, culture, and future events.
Location:
- This role is based in our NoHo, Manhattan office, with core in-office days Tuesday through Thursday.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Onyx is unable to provide employment sponsorship for this position.
Compensation and Benefits:
- The anticipated base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000 depending on experience, impact, and scope, plus target bonus and equity.
Benefits include:
-
Fully covered medical, dental, and vision insurance.
-
Meaningful equity ownership.
-
Commuter benefits.
Why Onyx?
Onyx is for people with conviction.
We hire talented people, give them meaningful ownership, and expect them to use it. Our teams stay small, the work stays visible, and the distance between an idea and production stays short.
Onyx moves quickly because our markets move quickly. Titles matter less than judgment, initiative, and the quality of what you ship. Good ideas can come from anywhere, but the person willing to make the call is expected to follow it through.
We value people who are ambitious without ego, intellectually honest, comfortable with uncertainty, and energized by hard problems. We debate openly, decide quickly, and take responsibility for the result.
Come build what’s next with us.
