About the Role:

Ooma is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to support and scale our Residential Sales organization. This role is critical to driving insight, execution, and operational excellence across our U.S. and Canadian retail channels. 

The ideal candidate is an Excel power user with strong analytical skills, deep experience working with retail and distributor sales data, and hands-on familiarity with major retailer vendor portals. This role partners closely with Account Managers, Marketing, Logisitcs, Product Management and Finance to analyze performance, support account management, optimize inventory, support product placements and product launches. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Build and maintain advanced Excel-based models and reporting to track item-level sales performance across U.S. and Canadian retail and distributor channels. 
  • Manage ongoing POS data intake, reconciliation, and validation across retailer portals, distributors, and internal systems. 
  • Analyze sell-in, sell-through, inventory, and margin performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. 
  • Develop recurring and ad hoc reporting to support forecasting, promotions, retailer business reviews, and leadership insights. 
  • Track marketing and Co-op programs, including budgeting, approvals, documentation, and proof of performance. 
  • Partner closely with Account Managers to support account planning, promotional execution, and retail event analysis. 
  • Work hands-on within major retailer vendor portals (e.g., Walmart, Amazon, Best Buy) to support reporting, item setup, and execution. 
  • Support inventory planning and forecasting at store, warehouse, and distributor levels for promotions, seasonal demand, and new product launches. 
  • Evaluate promotional effectiveness, discount cadence, and markdown budgets to ensure profitability and program efficiency. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Logistics, and Finance on launches, forecasting assumptions, and operational readiness. 
  • Manage sales and financial analysis across U.S. and Canadian currencies, applying sound accounting and financial principles. 

Experience We’re Looking For: 

  • 5-8 years of analytics experience, including 5+ years in sales operations analytics. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling; VBA experience is a plus. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. 
  • Hands-on experience working with major retail vendor portals such as Walmart, Amazon, and Best Buy. 
  • Experience supporting retail and/or distributor sales channels across the U.S. and Canada. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data into clear business insights. 
  • Experience in consumer electronics, telecom, or subscription-based hardware environments strongly preferred. 
  • Familiarity with inventory management, demand planning, and retail forecasting processes a plus. 
  • Strong preference for working knowledge of retail compliance, product certification, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Experience working in or supporting a publicly traded company environment is preferred but not required. #LI-CC1

The base salary range for candidates within the San Francisco Bay Area is listed below. Actual base pay will depend on a variety of factors such as education, skills, experience, specific location, etc. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Regular employees may also be eligible for bonus(es), sales incentive(s) (target included in OTE) and/or stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

$75,000 - $90,000 USD
