Audience Operations Analyst
About OpenAP
Built on an open philosophy and anchored in collaboration, we help advertisers connect their message with the right audience for a more relevant and meaningful viewing experience. OpenAP centralizes data activation on behalf of premium national TV publishers, bringing efficiency and scale to audience-based campaigns. Our technology makes buying on advanced audiences as easy, and with the same benefits, as 18-49 demos by helping advertisers target and measure cross-publisher and cross-platform campaigns.
About the Role
OpenAP is seeking a dynamic self-starter to join the team as an Audience Operations Analyst. You will be hands-on with the OpenAP platform, playing a key role in the OpenAP Audience Management process, including but not limited to audience onboarding and insights, campaign management, client reporting, and general operations running accurately and on time.
You’ll work within the Audience Management Operations team, reporting to the VP, Audience Solutions, learning the full lifecycle of advanced TV audience activation from the inside. This is an ideal role for someone early in their advertising technology or media operations career who is detail-oriented, curious about data and data visualization, and already uses AI tools habitually to work smarter. The scope is designed to grow as you do.
Role Responsibilities
- Assist in the end-to-end setup of audience deals and campaigns in the OpenAP platform, from processing confirmation through distribution and campaign creation.
- Maintain accurate records and statuses across internal project management systems, ensuring real-time visibility for all stakeholders throughout the campaign lifecycle.
- Run regular reconciliation between internal systems and the OpenAP platform; proactively identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Support client reporting workflows across internal and 3rd party tools, preparing and reformatting data files, and organizing report outputs for downstream use.
- Thrive in a context-switching environment — managing multiple parallel workstreams simultaneously is the norm, and you bring consistency and accuracy to all of them.
- Grow into the role over time — this position is intentionally designed to expand in scope as workflows are refined and trust is established.
Must Haves
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a track record of accurate, on-time execution across multiple workstreams.
- Energized by variety and context-switching — you find rhythm in moving between tasks rather than disruption.
- Proactive communicator who flags issues early and keeps systems and records clean without being asked.
- Thinks critically and navigates ambiguity well — you make sound judgment calls when you can, and when you can't, you know who to loop in and how to clearly communicate what you're seeing.
- Comfortable picking up new platforms and tools quickly.
- Actively uses AI tools — ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, or similar — as a genuine part of your daily workflow, including for automating repetitive tasks and executing defined processes.
- Comfortable with spreadsheets for data tracking, file manipulation, and light analysis.
Experience & Background
- 0–3 years of experience in advertising technology, media operations, digital media, or a related field.
- Exposure to programmatic advertising, audience data, or TV/streaming media is a plus but not required — we will teach our world to the right person.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to Haves
- Prior use of Monday.com, Asana, or similar project management tools in a professional setting.
- Familiarity with audience data, identity resolution, or data activation concepts.
- Experience working in or alongside an ad tech, DSP, SSP, or data platform environment.
- Comfort with basic SQL or data querying.
- Experience using AI tools to automate or assist in operational workflows.
