Pricing Analyst
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
As a Pricing Analyst, you will play an integral role in Opendoor's acquisition process, responsible for providing accurate valuations and risk assessments for Single Family Residential properties. Your expertise will contribute to fair, accurate, and competitive pricing of Opendoor homes. This role presents an excellent opportunity to build a solid foundation in Opendoor's pricing operations.

Role Responsibilities:
- Analyze Property Pricing and Risk: Assess individual homes for pricing decisions and risk evaluation, leveraging in-house tools and model outputs from the Pricing Technology teams, your expert validation and valuations will play a key role in the acquisition pricing process.
- Develop Market Expertise: Gain in-depth knowledge of local market nuances to make informed pricing decisions and ensure homes are accurately and competitively priced.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Engage with various teams, including sales and homes teams, to ensure fair and accurate pricing of properties.
- Special Projects: Participate in projects focused on enhancing pricing operations. Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to improve pricing models and tools.
- Team Collaboration: Work as a cohesive unit with local management and the pricing team to drive pricing excellence.
Skills Needed:
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to assess property valuations accurately.
- Good technical skills, particularly in Excel or SQL, will be advantageous in this role.
- Experience in collaborating with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate pricing insights and recommendations clearly.
Bonus Points if:
- Deep real estate industry experience, with at least 1 year of professional experience evaluating homes for price, value, and risk, is preferred.
