JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for processing and expediting purchase orders; to perform technical duties in support of the purchasing function; and to perform a variety of other duties relative to assigned area of inventory management responsibility.
ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform various duties supporting the purchasing function including preparation of purchase orders, expediting orders, daily inventory status reports (ROP), and record maintenance.
- Operate a computerized purchase order system; and prepare purchase orders for signature.
- Expedite purchase orders to ensure prompt delivery; contact vendors concerning discrepancies or problems related to purchases; resolve delivery problems and other discrepancies related to purchase orders; conduct follow-up activities as necessary to finalize purchase order transactions.
- Organize, maintain, and ensure prompt delivery of office supplies and equipment.
- Assist inventory and accounting personnel with various functions related to inventory accuracy; with the return of incorrect materials, obtain credit or exchange from vendors; settle disputes between vendors and company.
- Verify accuracy and routes purchase order and requisition paperwork.
- Prepare and maintain various records, logs and files related to purchasing activities and operations.
- Actively engages in a facilities maintenance role. Including maintenance and upkeep of interior and exterior office space.
- Maintain a working relationship with vendors.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree
- 3+ years related experience and/or training
- Knowledge and determination to create innovative ideas to help promote a positive work environment
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work in our Liberty Lake, WA headquarters as this is not a remote role.
