Reporting into the VP of Operations, the primary responsibilities of this role will include managing day-to-day operations with external manufacturers and leading projects with internal cross-functional team and the contract manufacturing suppliers. This role is responsible for all service, quality & cost parameters for the product categories that they own, and ensuring business continuity by leading team meetings, facilitating issue resolution, and supporting collaboration efforts between Open Farm and suppliers.  The ideal candidate is ambitious, passionate about project management, supplier relations, supply chain and working with a collaborative team. 

In this role you will: 

  • Design supply chain strategy for the product categories that you own, ensuring Open Farm is building a resilient supply chain that is positioned for growth, while hitting key fill rate and margin targets.
  • Be the primary relationship manager and contact person for manufacturing partners that deliver product for those categories, ensuring they are delivering high-quality products, on time and in full through active KPI management and business reviews. 
  • Collaborate with Innovation team on bringing to life new products, ensuring they launch successfully.
  • Communicate changes to existing products/production and coordinate change management process between internal and external teams. 
  • Responsibility (shared with production planners) for assisting in maintaining appropriate inventory levels (raw, package, and finished goods), and satisfactory service levels. 
  • Collaborate with internal and cross-functional team members in preparation, facilitation and execution of ideation meetings for co-man improvement projects. 
  • All other duties, as assigned

We’re paw-sitively excited about you because you have:  

  • 4-5 years of experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry; experience in the pet industry is preferred 
  • Proven project management ability, delivering results reliant on cross functional and external alignment of stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on openness, honesty, and teamwork 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify key issues and make logical, goal-aligned decisions 
  • Proven ability to act as a brand ambassador, representing the company with authenticity and enthusiasm 
  • Highly collaborative, with a track record of working effectively across cross-functional teams 
  • Customer-first mindset, consistently striving to exceed internal and external expectations
