Brand Marketing Associate (Intern)

Toronto, ON

About Us

At Open Farm we are transforming the way people feed their pets, with a focus on producing premium, healthy food and treats, all ethically sourced from farm-to-bowl. Headquartered in Toronto and with team members across the US, Open Farm is one of the fastest growing CPG companies in North America. We believe that the best foods are made with consciously sourced, top-quality ingredients from farmers and fisheries who believe in doing good for all animals and the environment.

The Role:

Reporting into the Sr Influencer Manager, this individual will have an opportunity to learn and apply practical skills to unlock brand awareness using both a creative and data driven approach. You will work closely with our external and internal partners to create viral, engaging and top of mind social content. This is an opportunity to collaborate across functions and build meaningful relationships through a variety of exciting projects!

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Social team to support content production across both high-effort storytelling and trending, humorous formats.
  • Participate in content brainstorms to identify compelling Open Farm stories (innovation, impact, operations, and more), and partner with cross-functional teams to help bring those stories to life.
  • Assist with the execution of major campaigns and key tentpole moments, supporting planning, production, and launch activities.
  • Research and prospect creators and influencers who align with the brand and can drive reach with new audiences.
  • Support and nurture existing influencer relationships through ongoing initiatives, including product seeding, monthly briefs, and program support.
  • Pull together weekly performance reports using industry-leading tools such as Google Analytics and Aspire.
  • Analyze performance data and make thoughtful recommendations on opportunities to optimize or pivot content strategy.
  • Curate and organize high-quality user-generated content to support our paid media engine.
  • Help organize and maintain retail marketing assets, including photos, signage, and promotional materials.

What you bring to the table:

  • Currently enrolled in a business, marketing or communications program
  • Strong communication skills. You have a talent for sharing information in a digestible, concise and engaging manner.
  • On top of internet culture, social issues and it’s ever-changing landscape. You stay curious!
  • Understand that marketing is just as much creativity as it is about geeking over data. You know how to use data to inform your decisions and recommendations.
  • Can juggle multiple projects and relationships at a time in a fast past atmosphere.
  • You bring your A game when it comes to collaboration and ensure all teams are looped in to relevant details.

What we offer you - it's the purr-fect package:

  • Learn and develop within a mission-driven, dynamic, and fast-growing company, alongside thoughtful and passionate individuals dedicated to their work and community.
  • Great office culture (with lots of adorable pets!) where your pet interrupting video calls or in-person meeting is the norm.
  • Opportunity to participate in co-op case competition – a chance to collaborate with peers, present creative ideas to the business, and gain more hands-on experience with visibility to senior leadership!
  • Office-casual dress code.
