Role Overview
As LATAM Sales, you will build and execute OpenFX’s outbound acquisition strategy in Latin America. You will own the sales motion, land new institutional clients, and grow FX transaction volumes in the region. This is a high-impact role where you will define our LATAM go-to-market strategy, lead direct sales efforts, and build a scalable regional sales operation.
This role is ideal for a commercially minded operator with experience in payments, trading, or financial operations looking to transition into a high-impact sales leadership position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Acquisition & Sales Grow
- Develop and execute a regional acquisition strategy targeting key institutional FX users.
- Own the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting, pitching, onboarding & activation.
- Drive long-term client relationships, ensuring repeatable, high-volume transactions.
- Revenue & Market Expansion
- Identify and win high-value institutional clients, increasing OpenFX’s footprint in LATAM.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding and activation.
- Leverage market insights and competitive positioning to drive sustained revenue growth.
- LATAM Go-To-Market Strategy & Execution
- Develop a structured approach to market entry, execution, and regional differentiation.
- Build a strong outbound motion, including target lists, scripts, and engagement strategies.
- Identify strategic partnership opportunities to enhance OpenFX’s presence in LATAM.
- Brand Presence & Thought Leadership
- Establish OpenFX as a trusted FX partner through industry events and networking.
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders in cross-border payments.
- Drive brand credibility through regional partnerships and targeted outreach efforts.
What we are looking for
- Must haves:
- 3+ years of experience in financial operations, treasury, trading, or cross-border payments, with a strong understanding of FX flows
- 8+ years of total work experience with a background in fast-paced industries such as high-growth fintech startups, consulting, or banking.
- Must be fluent in Spanish and English and familiar with financial technical jargon in both languages.
- Comfortable transitioning into a sales leadership role, leveraging deep operational knowledge to craft compelling solutions for clients
- A data-driven approach with a keen ability to analyze transaction flows, margin structures, and customer behavior to drive revenue
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving financial impact, structuring deals, or optimizing capital efficiency in an operational role
- Ability to navigate complex financial ecosystems, including banking relationships, fintech partnerships, and regulatory considerations

- Familiarity with B2B fintech sales cycles and FX payments
- Ability to navigate competitive landscapes and sell against traditional banks and fintech competitors
- Experience scaling a regional business unit, product, or function in LATAM.
