
SecOps Engineer

As SecOps Admin, you will play a critical role in protecting OpenFX’s systems and data while supporting day-to-day IT needs. Your primary focus will be on security operation; monitoring, endpoint protection, access control, and incident response—while also ensuring smooth IT administration such as device and account management. This role is central to maintaining a secure and resilient environment that enables our people to work productively.
This position is ideal for a technically strong operator who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about applying security best practices across both infrastructure and end-user systems.
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Security Operations
- Monitor and respond to security alerts, incidents, and endpoint threats.
- Administer and optimize SIEM and endpoint protection (EDR) tools.
- Support investigations and remediation of security incidents.
- Perform quarterly access audits and system reviews.
- Partner with teams to enforce RBAC and least-privilege access models.
- IT Administration
- Manage account provisioning and de-provisioning across corporate systems.
- Oversee device inventory, lifecycle management, and MDM policies.
- Provide IT support for employees (laptop setup, troubleshooting, access issues).
- Maintain availability and security for end-user systems and SaaS tools.
- Ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding with appropriate access setup.
- Cross-Functional Support
- Partner with stakeholders to roll out org-wide IT and security changes.
- Conduct vendor risk reviews and tool configuration checks.
- Collaborate with HR and People Ops to streamline onboarding and offboarding.
- Contribute to implementing SOPs and workflows for IT and security operations.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in IT administration, security operations, or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with account provisioning, RBAC, and access audits.
- Familiarity with endpoint security (EDR), MDM solutions, and IAM/SSO platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for devices, access, and network issues.
- Ability to investigate, triage, and respond to security alerts or incidents.
- Clear communication and documentation skills, with the ability to partner across teams.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience in FinTech or other highly regulated industries (finance, healthcare, etc.).
- Exposure to vendor risk assessments and SaaS configuration reviews.
- Familiarity with SIEM platforms and log analysis.
- Prior experience in a high-growth startup environment.
