Head of Revenue Operations

Remote- Minnesota

OpenLoop is looking for a Head of Revenue Operations to join our team at our HQ in Des Moines, IA or remote in Minnesota with the expectation to travel often to the HQ. In this role, you will drive operational excellence across our marketing, sales, and customer success teams. This key leadership role will focus on optimizing marketing lead flow, demand generation processes, Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) mapping, and leveraging data-driven insights to ensure scalable growth. Additionally, you will manage the deal desk and quote approval processes, while serving as the Chief of Staff to the CCO, supporting strategic initiatives and ensuring alignment across revenue-generating functions.

About the Role

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Optimize the marketing lead flow process, ensuring alignment with sales for efficient lead handoff. Collaborate on demand generation campaigns targeting the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and monitor campaign performance for data-driven optimizations.

  • Develop and refine ICP maps for precise targeting, prioritizing markets and segments. Analyze customer behavior and market trends to evolve ICP strategies.

  • Build data analytics frameworks to support strategic decisions, providing insights on lead conversion, sales pipeline, and customer retention. Ensure data accuracy and accessibility for stakeholders.

  • Implement a scalable sales methodology aligned with company goals, optimizing the sales process from lead generation to closure. Collaborate with sales leadership on pipeline management and forecasting.

  • Lead a revenue enablement strategy, equipping sales and customer-facing teams with tools and training to communicate value propositions effectively. Partner with learning teams for ongoing training.

  • Oversee the deal desk function, ensuring timely creation and approval of quotes and contracts. Collaborate with finance and legal to streamline the quote-to-cash process and review custom pricing for compliance and profitability.

  • Improve RevOps processes to enhance efficiency across marketing, sales, and customer success, leveraging automation tools and CRM systems.

  • Act as a strategic advisor to the Chief Commercial Officer, prioritizing initiatives and leading cross-functional projects. Prepare business reviews and strategic recommendations for the executive team. 

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in revenue operations, sales operations, or marketing operations within a high-growth B2B environment, preferably in the SaaS or technology sector.

  • Strong expertise in sales methodology development, sales process optimization, revenue enablement, and deal desk management.

  • Experience driving marketing lead flow, demand generation strategies, and ICP development.

  • Demonstrated experience leveraging data insights to drive decision-making and optimize processes.

  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Zoho, HubSpot, and other CRM and marketing automation platforms.

  • Proven ability to analyze and improve CRM workflows, lead scoring, campaign effectiveness, and quote-to-cash processes.

  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and drive initiatives to completion.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience interacting with senior leadership and executive teams.

  • Experience in Chief of Staff or similar roles, supporting executive-level leadership.

  • Experience working in fast-growing, scaling organizations.

  • Knowledge of sales methodologies, customer success best practices, and deal desk operations.

  • 50%+ travel required to HQ in Des Moines, IA.
