Job Details 

We are searching for a financial (Risk) analyst at Openly. This opportunity will sit on the Finance team to play a significant role in assessing financial performance and creating our risk framework and risk culture. This role reports to VP, Reserving and Risk Management and would be integral to Openly’s continued success and maturation as an innovator in the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities 

• Assemble information from internal and external source for loss reserving analysis and risk horizoning and benchmarking
• Build, maintain and improve loss reserving models
• Support the development of a risk-management framework and nurture risk-aware culture at Openly
• Collaborate with business partners to identify key enterprise risks and develop control framework to be implemented by various internal stakeholders
• Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and manage various reporting and meeting requirements to remain in compliance
• Perform ad hoc sensitivity analysis and stochastic modeling in support of risk assessment, liquidity planning, economic capital requirements, etc.
• Support the effort in obtaining Best's Capital Adequacy Ratio (BCAR) and S&P Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Level III Accreditation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in related field required
• 1+ years of related experience preferred
• Strong data and analytical skills
• Ability to develop machine learning model with Python
• Experience in using MS Suite and/or Google Workspace
• Ability to influence and collaborate with people at different levels
• Results driven with strategic mindset and ability to execute
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely

Preferred Degree & Licenses/Certifications

• Master’s Degree
• Certified Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA)
