Openly is building an advanced claims organization leveraging technology and experienced property claims professionals to build a best in class end to end customer experience.  This role is a remote only position and applicants must have an adequate working environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

End to end contents claim handling to include: 

  • Full knowledge of insurance contracts, investigation techniques, legal requirements and insurance regulations
  • Proactive claim handling
  • Investigation and coverage analysis 
  • Adhere to estimating best practices
  • Provide a commitment to superior customer service
  • Complete contents evaluations using pricing software
  • Collaborate with Large Loss team to handle contents on their claims
  • Manage and collaborate with vendor partners for all aspects of contents claim handling to include pack-outs, textile and electronic restoration, contents cleaning
  • Determine appropriate method of inspection 
  • Conduct virtual inspections (video, AI, etc)
  • Prepare and maintain file documentation
  • Work effectively in teams and with a wide variety of people.
  • An aptitude for evaluating, analyzing, and interpreting information.
  • Examine potential subrogation and identify potential fraudulent issues.
  • Negotiate settlement of claims with insureds, claimants and vendors. Discussing and giving updates to insureds, claimants, agents and leadership throughout the process
  • Provide input and ideas for continuous process improvement

 

Requirements

  • 5+ years in property claims experience, contents claim handling experience
  • 5+ years in customer service and conflict resolution
  • Education equivalent to a college degree 
  • Ability to handle large loss contents claims $100k+
  • Able to work catastrophe hours during periods of high volume
  • Must be able and eligible to acquire an adjuster licenses in all required states and maintain it as a condition of continued employment
  • Estimating experience in Xactimate, CoreLogic (Symbility), or similar platform
  • Experience working independently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Google Products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills
  • Innovative Mindset and Continuous Improvement
  • Proficient negotiation, reserving, and problem solving skills
  • Must be tech savvy as high end technology tools will be used for adjusting (virtual inspections, estimating, etc.)

Compensation & Benefits: 

The target salary range represents the budgeted salary range for this position.  Actual compensation for this position will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience and skills. We are committed to providing a compensation package that not only reflects the responsibilities and requirements of the role, but also the unique expertise that the chosen candidate will bring to our team.

Target Salary Range

$65,000 - $85,000 USD

The full salary range shows the min to max salary range for this position.  Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and determined based on various factors including the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.

Full Salary Range

$52,650 - $101,250 USD

Depending on position, Employees generally are eligible for cash incentive compensation, including commissions for sales eligible roles. In all cases, eligibility for compensation and benefits is subject to applicable plan and policy terms in effect from time to time.
