Product Designer - Restaurant Platform

Hybrid - Toronto

This will be a remote role to start, with plans to transition to hybrid in-office 2x/week located in downtown Toronto.

In this role, as a Product Designer,  you will:

  • Lead growth initiatives that deliver additional value to restaurants on top of their existing products and services. 
  • Design and maintain how we onboard restaurants, display in-product add-ons, drive more sign-ups/upgrades, and enhance in-product support.
  • Translate complex operational and restaurant interactions into simple, engaging user-centered solutions.
  • Identify new product enhancements driven by experiments to scale solutions across our platform
  • Become an expert in restaurants’ needs by facilitating research with restaurant owners and staff.
  • Work closely with a smart, collaborative remote team of product designers, product managers, sales,  and engineers to deliver experiences that enhance restaurant productivity.

How we design for restaurants

You enjoy solving complex design challenges and are a systems thinker. You have experience designing for web and have an exceptional portfolio that showcases a breadth of product design work. You also have:

  • 4+ years of experience designing for enterprise, growth teams or have solved for very complex and ambiguous spaces 
  • Obsessed with optimizing front of funnel experiences
  • Balancing rapid, build-to-learn experimentation with longer term, practical design thinking 
  • Strong interaction design and systems thinking 
  • The ability to negotiate, prioritize, and break down design work into measurable outcomes while advocating for the user
  • Strong curiosity and willingness to learn from others
  • An appetite and appreciation for feedback from stakeholders and peers
  • Led user research and can link research findings to designs
  • Great visual design skills
  • The ability to manage time effectively and can self-direct to deliver against agreed-upon commitments
  • Experience collaborating with product managers and engineers in an agile environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and can clearly articulate design decisions
  • Experience working with remote teams
  • Expertise in Figma and other prototyping tools

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. The range for this Toronto, Canada based role is $100,000-$125,000 CAD.

This role is eligible to be considered for an annual bonus and equity grant.
