Manager, Strategic Initiatives

OpenTable is seeking an experienced and strategic individual to join OpenTable’s Growth team as a Manager of Strategic Initiatives. This role will be responsible for identifying and launching high-impact partnerships with some of the largest companies across industries including financial, dining, travel, hospitality, and experiences to create new value for diners globally. This role is a great fit for an individual that’s excited to both define our strategy and drive our execution.
In this role, you will:
- Strategic Analysis & Planning: Own and deliver comprehensive analyses and strategic projects, encompassing market and industry analysis, competitive assessments, business case development, scenario planning, and pricing analysis to advise strategic decision-making.
- Partnership Development: Prospect, evaluate, and prioritize potential partner leads to align with company goals and growth objectives. Evaluate partner proposals, assess business impact and return on investment, and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Relationship Management: Prospect, cultivate, and manage relationships with key external partners, collaborating on the identification and execution of new opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across OpenTable, including Sales, Product, Marketing, Design, Legal, and Analytics, to ensure seamless execution of initiatives and partnerships.
- Forecasting & Analysis: Build and maintain forecasting models to project various business scenarios. Define, track, and report on key performance metrics, both internally for OpenTable and externally with partners, to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Perform thorough quantitative and qualitative analysis to evaluate opportunities, support strategic decisions, and effectively influence partners.
Please apply if:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of professional experience
- Demonstrated experience in strategy consulting, corporate development, strategic partnerships, business development, or a similar role
- Consistent track record of successfully collaborating across teams to develop and launch partnerships that drive growth, enhance brand exposure, and deliver valuable benefits to users
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate sophisticated concepts clearly and persuasively
- Experience working with product and engineering teams
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in forecasting, financial modeling, pricing analysis, market sizing, industry analysis, and competitive analysis
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve sophisticated problems, and develop actionable recommendations and implementation plans
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and effectively manage ambiguity
- Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and a proactive approach to achieving goals
- Experience in the consumer technology sector is a plus

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. The range for this United States located role is $120,000 - $140,000.
We offer a competitive base salary and benefits including: health benefits; flexible spending account; retirement benefits; life insurance; paid time off (including PTO, paid sick leave, medical leave, bereavement leave, floating holidays and paid holidays); and parental leave benefits. This role is eligible to be considered for an annual bonus.
