OpenTable’s Product Team is on a mission to help restaurants create memorable dining experiences while helping diners discover and book the perfect table. We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to lead the strategy and development of our CRM and Guest Engagement product! This team focuses on enabling restaurants to build strong and lasting relationships with their guests.

As a Principal Product Manager, you’ll guide the long-term roadmap for this important and evolving area, collaborating with diverse teams across the company to deliver effective engagement solutions.

You are passionate about using technology to create personalized communication experiences that benefit both diners and restaurants. You share your knowledge willingly, helping others grow and lifting the whole team’s capabilities. You work well independently and with others, stay focused on meaningful impact, and value diverse perspectives.

Note, this role will be required to work from our NYC office at least 2 days per week.

Responsibilities:

Set Strategy and Vision

  • Define the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for the CRM and Guest Engagement products.
  • Explore new opportunities for communication products that expand how we connect restaurants and customers.
  • Partner with marketing and customer teams to ensure successful adoption of your products.
  • Work across teams (Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing) for alignment and execution.

Lead Execution and Delivery

  • Drive important, cross-team projects that lead to meaningful improvements for customers and business results.
  • Set clear goals and follow through, even when details are unclear or change often.
  • Balance scope and resources thoughtfully with your collaborators.
  • Take ownership when challenges arise, guiding teams and leaders toward success.

Inspire and Mentor

  • Lead your product area fully and adapt plans as needed while bringing others along.
  • Support the growth of product managers by sharing your experiences and feedback.
  • Help identify and bring new talent into the team.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with anyone, from engineers to executives.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of proven experience leading product management efforts, preferably with background in CRM, marketing technology, or customer engagement.
  • Comfortable setting and evolving a product vision for a complex area.
  • Skilled in working with cross-functional teams to deliver results.
  • Curious about data and able to use it to guide decisions.
  • Passionate about mentoring and supporting others.
  • Familiarity with agile or iterative development methods.
  • Interest in the hospitality space is a plus but not required.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. The range for this Canadian based role is $180,000-$210,000 CAD.

We offer a competitive base salary and benefits including: health benefits; flexible spending account; retirement benefits; life insurance; paid time off (including PTO, paid sick leave, medical leave, bereavement leave, floating holidays and paid holidays); and parental leave benefits. This role is eligible to be considered for an annual bonus and equity grant.
