OpenTable is seeking a strategically minded Director of B2B & Corporate Communications to own the global narrative that drives our presence and credibility within the hospitality industry. Reporting to the Head of Global Communications, you will serve as a high-impact leader responsible for positioning the company as a strategic technology and data partner. In this role, you will ensure that every touchpoint with restaurant customers, technology partners, and the broader business community strengthens our reputation as an industry leader. Your focus will be on building trust as an ultimate differentiator and expanding our corporate narrative globally.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive B2B communication strategies in alignment with marketing and go-to-market teams to strengthen relationships with restaurant customers, prospects, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Lead external storytelling around product innovation, AI developments, and industry milestones to advocate for restaurant success and solidify global market presence.
  • Own communications for global partnerships, integrations, and emerging business units, managing co-announcements and shared storylines with major technology platforms.
  • Direct proactive and reactive media relations, overseeing inbound inquiries, crisis navigation, operational resiliency, and data policy defenses to protect and enhance corporate reputation.
  • Manage the executive bench in partnership with brand communications by crafting talking points, speeches, bylines, and preparing leadership for high-profile industry appearances.
  • Establish and enforce communications governance, including approval workflows, escalation paths, messaging guardrails, and KPI reporting tied directly to business outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in B2B public relations or corporate communications within the technology or hospitality sectors.
  • Experience managing public relations and communications strategy on a global scale.
  • Proven track record managing high-stakes issues, policy responses, and competitive positioning.
  • Experience advising executive leadership on complex communications and reputational matters.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid capacity from the New York City or Norwalk, CT office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing co-marketing or joint-communication strategies with global technology platforms and enterprise partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize data insights and performance metrics to shape corporate messaging and inform strategic business decisions.
  • Prior experience collaborating across brand, product, and legal teams within a global matrixed organization or parent company environment.
  • Strong background in managing communication frameworks for emerging business units or rapidly scaling technology solutions.

This role aligns with that approach, with an expectation of coming into the office two days a week—giving employees the best of both worlds: in-person collaboration and flexibility.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. The range for this United States based role is $165,000 - $185,000.

This role is eligible to be considered for an annual bonus and equity grant.
