Director, Partner Sales & Referral Growth
About the Role
We’re looking for a Director of Partner Sales and Referral Growth to lead and scale our field-based referral team. This person will lead the full referral sales cycle—from prospecting to closing agreements to nurturing long-term relationships with community organizations, clinics, and treatment centers. This is a player-coach role that involves developing and enhancing our partnerships strategy, along with owning partnership development within your own portfolio. We’re looking for someone who can balance big-picture leadership with boots-on-the-ground execution to expand our referral network in key markets.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, hire, and coach a team of Community Partnership Managers.
- Build and refine a strategy for our referral partnership playbook, including outreach tactics, pipeline management, and partner onboarding.
- Manage the end-to-end referral sales cycle: prospect, engage, negotiate, activate, and maintain partner relationships.
- Set strategy for community referral growth in alignment with Ophelia’s overall objectives.
- Set clear KPIs and track performance (referrals, partner activation, retention, conversion).
- Collaborate with clinical, operations, marketing, and tech teams to ensure seamless referral workflows.
- Travel regularly to key markets to build relationships and represent the company.
Requirements
- 6+ years in service sales, partnerships, or business development, with at least 3 years managing a team
- Foster and promote a high performance culture that focuses on reaching KPIs, targets, and outcomes
- Proven success driving a full sales/referral cycle in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Strong leadership skills: ability to coach, develop, and hold a team accountable to goals.
- Data-driven mindset; able to forecast, analyze, and adjust strategies based on metrics.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, comfortable engaging diverse stakeholders.
- Comfortable working through ambiguity and shifting priorities; able to learn quickly and adapt strategy in a fast-changing environment.
- Willingness to travel for field work.
Preferred:
- Healthcare, health-tech, and/or startup experience
Our Benefits Include:
- Competitive medical, vision, and health insurance (many plans are fully covered for the employee!)
- 20 days of PTO per year
- 10 company holidays
- Work From Home Stipend
- 401k Contribution Platform
- Additional benefits offered through our benefits provider such as life insurance, short and long term disability, financial wellness, virtual primary care, among others!
Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without a current or future need for visa sponsorship.
Compensation Note: The compensation range listed below represents total compensation, including base salary and variable compensation.
- We set compensation based on the level and skills required for the role. We value pay transparency and equity, and are committed to fair pay. In order to prevent pay disparities and reduce time spent in negotiations, we take a “first and best” offer approach: this means we’re not holding any compensation back from our candidates, and you can feel confident that our pay is fair and does not vary based on the strength of someone’s negotiation skills.
- Compensation is dynamic at Ophelia: as long as the company performs well and meets our targets, there will be opportunities for increased compensation annually. We’re happy to discuss this approach and our bands if you have questions during the interview process.
Compensation Range
$175,000 - $200,000 USD
