POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a results-oriented and highly accountable Strategic Sourcing Professional to join our Sourcing organization. This role is critical in driving cost efficiency, operational excellence, and supplier performance through proactive contract lifecycle management, cross-functional collaboration, and robust negotiation strategies. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, be a compelling communicator, and have the capacity to manage complex sourcing initiatives simultaneously across multiple categories.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Contract Lifecycle and Compliance Management
- Monitor and proactively manage contract expiration timelines to ensure timely renewals, renegotiations, or transitions.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure all sourcing activities are aligned with regulatory requirements and company policy.
- Maintain contract repositories and dashboards to ensure visibility and adherence to key milestones and deliverables.
Strategic Supplier Negotiation and Cost Optimization
- Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, including RFx processes, supplier evaluation, bid analysis, and contract award recommendations.
- Negotiate contract terms and pricing with suppliers to optimize total cost of ownership (TCO), while balancing quality, risk, and service delivery.
- Implement supplier performance metrics and conduct periodic business reviews to drive continuous improvement and accountability.
- Have experience negotiating contracts in the areas of Marketing, Legal, PX, Finance, Operations and Risk
Stakeholder Engagement and Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner with functional owners to translate business needs into sourcing strategies that support operational objectives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders by providing market intelligence, strategic insights, and risk mitigation guidance.
- Facilitate and assist in resolving payment and performance issues with suppliers in partnership with internal stakeholders.
Program Management and Execution Excellence
- Manage multiple concurrent negotiations and sourcing projects with minimal oversight, ensuring timely execution against business priorities.
- Maintain a high level of accountability to define cost savings targets and contribute to enterprise-wide sourcing goals.
- Apply project management disciplines to sourcing processes, driving efficiency, quality, and speed-to-value.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement operations.
- Proven track record in negotiating large-scale contracts and delivering measurable cost savings.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all organizational levels.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills; ability to prioritize and pivot in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Proficiency in sourcing tools, contract management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Workday Strategic Sourcing, Coda and Slack is a plus.
