The Sales Analyst provides critical data-driven insights to support the sales organization in achieving growth targets.  This role focuses on collecting, organizing, and interpreting sales data from various sources including CRM systems, National Data Repositories, CMS Websites, market research, customer feedback, and industry trends.  The Sales Analyst transforms this data into actionable reports, dashboards, and presentations that provide strategic recommendations for improving sales performance and achieving organizational goals.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Sales Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Collect, clean, and analyze sales data from multiple sources, including HCHB, Trella CRM, Health Pivots, spreadsheets, and databases
  • Create clear, accurate reports and dashboards that track performance against sales goals, KPIs, and forecasts
  • Deliver regular updates to sales leadership highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Research and report Quality Metrics of Physician services, Home Health and Hospice via Medicare.gov, SAP, Casper and other data sources
  • Track key sales metrics including referrals and admissions, quota attainment, conversion rates, and customer retention
Performance Monitoring and Analysis
  • Track and report at both enterprise and individual Sales Representative levels (historical and present):
    • Admissions: comparative to budget and prior year performance
    • Account event activity: calls and building visits (plan vs. actual)
    • Account density risk resolution and account fall off recovery
    • Expense reporting and cost per admit analysis
    • Account dynamics segmentation (Facilities, Health Systems, Physician Offices)
    • Create Sales Representative Calendar Management, Calendar Build, Evaluation, Daily Call Reporting Optimization and Sales Representative Comparative Analysis of goal to actual
Forecasting and Planning Support
  • Support sales leadership in forecasting revenue and building territory plans
  • Assist with territory planning, quota setting, and performance benchmarking using historical data, trends, and predictive modeling
  • Model sales performance scenarios to inform strategic decision-making
  • Monitor goal attainment and recommend adjustments as needed
  • Identify risks and opportunities to improve forecast accuracy and planning outcomes
Business Intelligence and Reporting
  • Leverage BI tools such as Trella CRM, Trella Insights, Health Pivots, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to build sales dashboards and visualizations
  • Create reports that communicate performance metrics, forecasts, and KPIs to various stakeholders
  • Simplify complex findings for non-technical stakeholders and executive audiences
  • Turn complex data sets into simple, actionable insights for sales leadership and executive teams
CRM and Data Integrity Management
  • Maintain accuracy of CRM data and reporting tools through regular audits
  • Ensure data accuracy in CRM systems by collaborating with sales, operations, Information Technology and administrative teams
  • Develop processes and best practices for data entry, usage, and reporting to maintain reliable data foundation
  • Help define and enforce CRM-related KPIs to drive better data adoption and visibility
  • Implement and enforce best practices for system usage and reporting consistency
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, operations, Information Technology, Clinical Management, and finance teams to align data insights with strategic business goals
  • Support campaign tracking and customer segmentation efforts
  • Provide sales leadership with timely information to guide strategy and execution
  • Adapt messaging and reporting to suit different audiences and decision-makers
  • Participate in key projects and initiatives that impact overall company growth
Market and Strategic Analysis
  • Identify and segment target markets, customers, and prospects based on their characteristics, behaviors, and needs
  • Analyze external data sources to track market trends and competitor performance
  • Evaluate and optimize sales strategies, processes, and policies to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction
  • Identify key performance drivers across individuals, teams, and markets
  • Collaborate with sales managers and representatives to understand their challenges, needs, and feedback
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales analytics, business intelligence, or related field
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong knowledge of CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Trella, or similar)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Proficient in spreadsheet modeling, SQL queries, and using automation tools for recurring tasks
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Strong mathematical proficiency for accurate data interpretation and reporting
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly to various audiences
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple concurrent projects and data sources
  • Self-starter with initiative to investigate performance issues and propose solutions
Desired Qualifications
  • Healthcare, home health, or hospice industry experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field
  • Knowledge of EMR systems and healthcare compliance requirements
  • Experience with healthcare-specific platforms (HCHB, Health Pivots, Medicare.gov, SAP, Casper)
  • Familiarity with healthcare quality metrics and regulatory reporting
Essential Skills
  • Strong ability to collect, organize, and analyze complex data sets from multiple sources and transform raw data into actionable insights
  • Accuracy in understanding and interpreting numerical information for reliable reporting
  • Experience with CRM platforms, BI tools, and ability to evaluate and recommend new analytics tools
  • Ability to communicate data insights effectively in both written and verbal formats
  • Capability to manage numerous varied tasks and track information from different concurrent projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working across departments and supporting various stakeholders
  • Effective use of technology for data maintenance, analysis, and staying current with market trends

  • Office Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday
