Key Responsibilities 

Customer Service Representatives are responsible for converting referrals for delivery of services, receiving referrals, data entry, answering inquiries, and disseminating information about the agency. This Customer Service Representative assists with the daily operations of the agency and establishes and maintains efficient systems for patient referral, coordination, data entry, and communications to support the department in securing referrals. 

 

In this role you will be responsible for: 

  • Establishing and maintaining effective and efficient systems for patient referrals 
  • Answering all inquiries regarding agency services and disseminating appropriate information including referrals to community resources 
  • Accurately documenting or tracking all referrals received by the agency for trending reports 
  • Being responsive to internal and external customer needs and satisfying their requirements and expectations 
  • Greeting all individuals arriving at the office courteously and ensure their needs are met 
  • Maintaining organized, effective, and efficient systems and communication to ensure the continuity of quality patient care delivered 
  • Assisting in evaluating agency operations and systems and identifying ways to enhance workflow and productivity 
  • Efficiently and accurately transferring referrals to the supervisor or scheduler for patient evaluation 
  • Accurately data processing all necessary information into the company database software for immediate use 

Required Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent 
  • Current and valid Driver’s License 
  • Reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance coverage 
  • Requires interpersonal skills and ability to communicate professionally and effectively with employees and receive patient referrals 
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required 
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Able to demonstrate problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail 
  • Requires proven interpersonal, coordination, and leadership skills with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively 
  • Skilled in conflict resolution 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry skills. 
  • Ability to operate computer equipment, FAX, and photocopy machines necessary. 

Desired Qualifications 

  • Associate Degree preferred 
  • 1 year experience in a health care setting preferred 
  • Medicare and Medicaid payment guidelines are necessary and 3rd party payors preferred 
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems

  • Office Location:  801 Rosehill Road, Jackson, MI 49202

Hours 

  • Office Hours: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm, Monday through Friday 

Pay Range

$19 - $22 USD
