We're seeking a Care Team Supervisor to join our dynamic team at Optime Care, where your expertise will directly contribute to improving health outcomes for patients with complex, chronic conditions and rare diseases. This role offers the opportunity to plan, direct, and coordinate the team’s daily operations, including formulating procedures, monitoring day-to-day team operations, training team members, and resource planning.

This role will be based at our Optime Care Office in Earth City, MO, and will require being in the office 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, during regular business hours.

About the role

Critical parts of the job/Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee, assist, and provide ongoing support in the day-to-day activities of the team
  • Assist the Care Director as a liaison and point of contact with assigned clients
  • Assist with determining team operations and processes
  • Assist with overseeing the team’s performance to KPI’s and the budget
  • Review payer, operations, and activity reports, and other data to measure performance against goals
  • Review daily reports and reimbursement procedures of the care team to ensure operating processes are maintained
  • Assist the Care Director in establishing and implementing team goals, objectives, and procedures.
  • Assist the Care Director in interviewing, hiring, and training new employees, or oversee those personnel processes
  • Aid in increasing the knowledge of care team members
  • Identify areas of strength within team members and work to develop them
  • Identify areas of opportunity within the team and address them through action plans
  • Provide direction and feedback to team members
  • Assist with managing the team, preparing work schedules, and assigning specific tasks or duties
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or as necessary; remain flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by departmental and organizational needs.

What this position will focus on

Daily operations – You will oversee the team's daily operations and ensure patients receive the assistance they need with getting their medication.

Guidance and training – You will ensure the team has the tools they need to be successful. You will be the go-to person for questions, tips, tricks, and eventually have subject manager expertise.

Ensuring client satisfaction – You will oversee the delivery of service to our Specialty Pharmacy clients, ensuring that the operations are running as smoothly as possible, while meeting the team's goals and objectives.

Skills, Education & Abilities

Essential Requirements

  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in resource allocation, coordination of people and resources, leadership techniques, production methods, and human resources issues
  • Knowledge of business principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to navigate different personalities
  • Strong attention to detail, process-oriented, excellent organizational skills, and adherence to deadlines
  • Ability to work and adapt in a complex, dynamic organization
  • Must be able to effectively multitask and work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize competing tasks
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Interact effectively and productively with colleagues and business partners
  • Proactive and communicative, knows when to escalate
  • Innovative thinker willing to bring forth ideas to enhance processes

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Specialty Pharmacy, Patient Services, Pharmacy Operations, Payer Reimbursement, Direct Personnel Management, or the Pharmaceutical Industry
  • A high school degree, or equivalent
  • An active Missouri Pharmacy Technician license or the willingness to obtain one once employed

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree, Associate’s or higher, preferred
  • Experience in CareTend (Wellsky) is helpful
