Location: Peoria, IL
Hours: Monday-Wednesday, 20-25 hours/week 
Pay: $30-33/hour

 

Starting Wages for LPN - $24.00 - $27.50

Associated Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons has been serving patients in Peoria, IL for over 50 years. We are leaders in oral surgery, specializing in wisdom teeth extractions, dental implant placement, and complex oral surgery needs for jaw correction, trauma, and identified pathology. Our office is looking for motivated, dedicated individuals ready to make an impact on our team. Oral Surgery Practice: Associated Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons Location: 5720 Knoxville Ave, Peoria, IL 61614 Position: Part-time Recovery RN, Will consider LPN

Hours: 15-29 hours per week. Monday and Tuesday start time 8:00 am – when patients are recovered. Wednesday 7:30 am – when patients are recovered. / Hours may vary depending on schedules and patient needs. Some Thursdays and Fridays may be requested if needed for staff coverage.

Primary Responsibilities will include:

  • · Work in conjunction with physicians in providing excellence in all aspects of patient care
  • · Directs flow of clinical area/assignment of patients to clinical staff
  • · Documents patient care
  • · Makes post-op patient calls
  • · Maintains patient medication records
  • · Discontinues IV’s
  • · Recovers and dismisses patients
  • · Monitors patient pre, intra, and post-op for complications
  • · Read EKG strips
  • · Maintain defibrillator and emergency medications and equipment and oversee regular emergency training drills for back staff
  • · Calls patients pre- and post-op as needed; patient phone calls taken as needed
  • · Performs patient glucose tests and maintains monitor
  • · BLS/ACLS/PALS
  • · Maintaining patient confidence by protecting confidential information.

Secondary Responsibilities will include:

  • · Send biopsy specimens to Oral Surgery Pathology Lab and confirm receipt of report from lab and chart accordingly
  • · Audits surgical EMR notes of back staff for accuracy
  • · Contribute to team effort to properly meet the needs of the patient and the practice
  • · Calls in ordered prescriptions
  • · Reviews charts and alerts staff and doctors of positive history
  • · Performs charting and checks charts for completion
  • · Send medical clearance requests per doctors’ requests and keep log of when we receive responses. Contact patients and confirm understanding of clearance and clearly document the clearance instructions in the patient chart so scheduler will know to confirm patient compliance
  • · Orders medications and oversees documentation/counts of controlled meds
  • · Draws blood – RN only
  • · Starts- RN only, maintains and discontinues IV’s –
