Title: Human Resource Generalist
Company: Oral Surgery Partners
Position is full-time: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Candidate must live in the Dallas, Texas metro-area
Position Purpose
The HR Generalist supports the Human Resources department and the business by managing core HR functions that ensure a seamless employee experience across all Oral Surgery Partners locations. This role is responsible for onboarding and offboarding employees, recruiting assistance, maintaining accurate HRIS records, assisting with payroll and benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. Through organization, attention to detail, and strong communication, the HR Generalist helps foster a positive, efficient, and compliant workplace environment that supports both employees and leadership.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Onboard and process terminations for all staff
- Continually maintain and update employee information in company HRIS
- Prepare HR documents, like FMLA forms and new hire guides
- Organize and maintain personnel records
- Answer employees’ questions and provide requested information
- Assist in payroll processing and time and attendance maintenance
- Help organize and manage new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs
- Generate, receive and maintain confidential and sensitive files, information and reports
- Ensure accuracy of all HRIS benefit enrollments and maintenance
- Assist in recruiting and maintenance of the Applicant Tracking System
- Process and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA.
- Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
Requirements:
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Proven work experience as an HR Generalist, HR Administrator or relevant role
- Experience with HR software, like Paycom and Greenhouse
- Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular)
- Thorough knowledge of labor laws
- Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
- Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills
- Work independently in the absence of supervision
- Driven with a strong sense of urgency
