Vice President of Brokerage Sales
About the Role:
Orchard is looking for a Vice President of Brokerage Sales to manage our national team of 450+ real estate agents across 12 markets. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering on revenue goals, creating strategies to drive behaviors that influence customer acquisition targets, supporting agents in delivering consistently stellar service to customers, developing and managing to KPIs, and building and managing a team of sales managers and team leads.
In addition, you will be a member of the Orchard executive team, responsible for partnering effectively with cross-functional leaders across Mortgage, Sales, Title, Recruiting, Operations, Product and Marketing with the goal of providing a stress-free, simple, and fair way for our customers to buy and sell their homes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building and leading a consultative, tech-forward sales team driving both high sales conversion and a culture of continuous improvement.
This is a full time role that will report into the CEO and can be in any location, with a preference for one of Orchard’s live markets.
What You’ll Do Here:
- Lead a team of Regional Sales Managers and Team Leads to grow and manage 25+ teams of agents (450+ total agents) nationally
- Build processes that empower our agents to provide the best customer experience while delivering on revenue and conversion goals
- Create a culture of continuous improvement and learning among the agent team
- Partner with recruiting team to implement best in class recruiting practices to attract and close top performing agents as well as high potential junior agents
- Oversee performance management and retention to drive results and build a strong culture
- Collaborate with Inside Sales, Recruiting, Product, Marketing, and other internal teams to achieve business goals
- Create and implement strategies that make Orchard a best in class brokerage for agents to build their business
We’d Love to Hear From You if You Have:
- 10+ years of experience in residential real estate, with demonstrated success as an agent as well as a proven track record of success with hiring, managing, and developing teams of agents and managers
- 5+ years of people management experience, with experience managing real estate agents and managers across multiple geographies
- Strong customer focus
- Extensive experience hiring agents and growing real estate teams
- Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment with evolving priorities - startup experience is a plus, but not required
- Proven ability to drive results and achieve metrics based goals (i.e. conversion rate goals)
- Strategic, systems-level thinker with the ability to create solutions that are great for both agents and customers
- A team player with a track record of building great partner relationships and taking responsibility to personally drive execution and follow through
