About the Role

Orchard Title is looking for a dynamic Escrow Officer to manage the closing process and provide an exceptional experience for our customers. The ideal candidate is a seasoned real estate professional. If you are used to working with high-stakes and time-sensitive deals with an awesome support staff where every detail and process is critical to the successful and timely completion of the transaction, this is the job for you!. This is a full time remote role that will be based in Texas and will report into the Manager, Escrow.

 

What You'll Do Here

  • Prepare and review all settlement documentation, including closing disclosures, escrow agreements, and related documents, ensuring strict adherence to lender, buyer, and seller instructions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Experience, Sales, Contract Operations, and Funding teams to proactively troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent issues that could delay the title or escrow process.
  • Obtain and verify clear title by identifying and resolving title defects, and ensuring all liens and encumbrances against properties or principals are satisfied.
  • Audit escrow and closing files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance, minimizing risk and protecting the company from potential claims.
  • Oversee lender instructions and fund disbursement, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant distribution of funds for every transaction.
  • Maintain strict compliance with company policies, state and federal regulations, and standards set by governing agencies, demonstrating accountability and operational excellence.
  • Drive business growth by actively participating in sales meetings, real estate events, escrow and management sessions, and engaging with lenders and banking partners to increase capture rate and expand market presence.
  • Continuously improve processes, providing feedback and insight to enhance operational efficiency, client experience, and overall organizational performance.

 

We'd Love To Hear From You If You Have

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Escrow Officer, with a proven track record of managing complex escrow transactions from start to finish
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to maintain strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners
  • Strong technical skills, with confidence in escrow/title software (e.g., Qualia) and the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • A working knowledge of state-level escrow regulations and compliance requirements enforced by the Department of Insurance, and can ensure adherence across all transactions
  • A team-first mentality, embracing collaboration and contributing to collective success under the principle of “Team Before Self.”
  • The ability to thrive in an environment of continuous improvement and innovation, adapting comfortably to new processes, technologies, and organizational changes
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency across all tasks
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, anticipating issues before they arise and taking proactive steps to resolve them
