ABOUT THIS ROLE
Orchestra is seeking a Vice President or Director of Marketing Communications to help drive our integrated strategy across internal and external channels. This role will be instrumental in managing the editorial calendar, shaping the company’s narrative and leading impactful campaigns that build Orchestra’s brand among employees, clients, prospects and the investor community. As a key partner to the Head of Marketing and Communications, you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and executive leadership to ensure marketing priorities are executed with excellence. You’ll oversee and execute the day-to-day vision of the marketing and communications department while supporting the Head of Marketing in longer-term strategic planning and initiatives.
Role location: This role is based in our New York, N.Y. office on a hybrid basis. Orchestra staff are in-office 3 days per week.
ACCOUNTABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
As the Vice President or Director of Marketing Communications, you will…
- Translate high-level strategy into actionable priorities and manage the day-to-day execution and reporting on marketing and communications activities
- Lead the creation and management of an integrated editorial calendar across all channels, for both internal and external audiences, working with specialist resources to create and deploy content
- Drive the planning and execution of external content marketing campaigns
- Oversee internal communications campaigns and content touchpoints to drive employee engagement
- Implement measurable frameworks to track campaign effectiveness and ROI
- Lead multiple projects at once while engaging with many different people and personalities, coordinating between teams and firms
- Directly manage and mentor staff, and provide overall strategic direction and feedback for their development and work
Essential Skills:
- 8-10+ years of experience in content, marketing, communications, digital media, journalism, PR or a related field
- Strong background in editorial planning and content strategy
- Highly proactive problem-solver with strong judgement, discretion, and the ability to thrive in dynamic and evolving environments
- Strong editorial judgment and excellent writing skills
- Deep understanding of multi-channel marketing
- Experience with measurement and analytics
- Ability to work across channels: media relations, social media, search, blog/website, email, awards, speaking, paid media and ads
- Ability to translate complex information into compelling narratives
- Ability to work cross-functionally, partnering with various teams and subject matter experts
- Experience in managing sensitive or confidential announcements with professionalism and discretion
Preferred skills:
- Experience managing internal communications
- Experience working with and managing creative teams and producing visual assets
WORKING AT ORCHESTRA
Salary range (commensurate with experience and skills):
- Director: $110,000-$130,000
- Vice President: $130,000-$150,000
