ABOUT THIS ROLE

Inkhouse is seeking an Account Manager to lead day-to-day client relations and drive strategy across a portfolio of technology clients. This is an opportunity for someone who pairs expert tactical execution with a real point of view on strategy — someone who can run the work while shaping where it's going.

The Account Manager will ideally have experience across B2B and consumer technology, integrated communications spanning earned, owned and social, and a track record of high-priority media relations. This person will be a team player who keeps accounts moving to help clients achieve their goals. We're looking for candidates who are passionate about contributing to company culture and who invest in teaching junior staff and in growing their careers.

Role location: This role is based in our San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA, or San Diego, CA  office on a hybrid basis, in-office 2-3 days in the office per week.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

As an Account Manager at Inkhouse, you will…

  • Lead day-to-day client relations and support senior leadership in strategic planning, problem-solving, and crisis mitigation.
  • Drive project management and account logistics, setting the tone for client meetings and making team assignments.
  • Execute high-priority media relations and feature pitching across broadcast, print, and online channels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets and industry analysts.
  • Draft core client materials including messaging documents, strategic plans, and memos.
  • Develop thought leadership content, bylines, blog posts, and integrated communications content across channels.
  • Oversee quality control by reviewing team documents, speaking abstracts, awards submissions and analyst materials.
  • Mentor and train junior staff, delegating tasks effectively while managing upward to team leadership.
  • Monitor industry trends to drive proactive media outreach and champion company values.

Essential skills:

  • 5-7 years of Public Relations experience, ideally at an agency
  • Direct experience in B2B or consumer technology
  • Must be passionate and interested in working on tech accounts, demonstrating enthusiasm and expertise
  • Ability to think through communication strategies and deliver tangible results
  • Proven track record pitching across a variety of mediums, with a focus on strategic media relations and results
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multitask easily in a fast-paced environment while paying close attention to details
  • Demonstrated experience supporting account leadership, including managing workstreams, guiding junior staff, and contributing to strategic planning and execution
  • Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic, team-oriented atmosphere
  • Comfortable managing multiple clients and meeting strict deadlines

WORKING AT ORCHESTRA

Salary range (commensurate with experience and skills): $85,000-$115,000
