BerlinRosen’s Real Estate team, part of Orchestra, comprises more than 100 communications professionals who bring a campaign-style approach to shaping the stories of cities, places and the built environment. We partner with visionary companies and organizations across real estate, infrastructure, hospitality, architecture and design, helping them navigate complex issues, build their brands and tell stories that influence how cities evolve.

We work with industry leaders, award-winning institutions and global innovators including BXP, JLL, Elecor Properties, The Irvine Company, Concierge Auctions, Downtown San Francisco Partnership, The Sobrato Organization, Arup, Eames Institute and more.

 

ABOUT THIS ROLE

BerlinRosen is seeking a San Francisco-based Senior Account Executive to join our Cities & Real Estate team. In this role, you’ll manage day-to-day client relationships, develop and execute communications strategies, drive media relations and storytelling opportunities, and help manage account teams and project deliverables. This role offers the opportunity to work at the center of one of the country’s most dynamic real estate and urban development markets while supporting clients and projects across the country.

You’ll work closely with senior communications leaders and directly with executives at leading organizations. The ideal candidate combines strong media instincts and writing skills with excellent project management and is ready to take greater ownership of client relationships, strategy and team leadership.

You’ll be encouraged to take the lead on client initiatives, bring forward creative ideas and help grow the practice.

Role location: San Francisco. In-person client meetings, media engagements, events and team meetings will be required on a semi-regular basis.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

As a Senior Account Executive on the Cities & Real Estate team you will…

  • Develop and execute integrated strategies and campaigns across earned and owned media
  • Serve as a trusted day-to-day contact for multiple client accounts
  • Identify compelling story angles, develop pitches and lead proactive media outreach
  • Build and maintain relationships with key reporters and editors
  • Use strong news judgment and knowledge of the media landscape to identify creative opportunities that advance client objectives and generate earned media coverage
  • Write and edit press releases, op-eds, talking points, fact sheets, communications plans, media briefs and other client materials
  • Develop content for owned channels, including LinkedIn, Instagram and other digital platforms
  • Staff client meetings, media interviews and events, both virtually and in person
  • Help manage account teams, delegate assignments and mentor junior colleagues
  • Collaborate with senior team members to develop and advance client strategy
  • Contribute to new business development, including research, strategy and pitch development

Essential skills: 

  • 3–4+ years of strategic communications, public relations or relevant media experience
  • Strong media relations skills, news judgment and experience building productive relationships with reporters and editors
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling communications
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining close attention to detail
  • Sound judgment and confidence communicating directly with clients, senior executives, reporters and internal teams
  • Intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in real estate, development, hospitality, architecture, design and the built environment

 

WORKING AT BERLINROSEN

Compensation philosophy: BerlinRosen offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.

Salary range (commensurate with experience and skills): $70,000-$90,000
