Job Purpose
The Solar Plant Manager provides day-to-day leadership and strategic oversight at the plant level, ensuring high standards in safety, performance, and operational culture. They lead by example, drive continuous improvement, and are accountable for creating a site culture that aligns with Origis Services’ values: Safety, Accountability, and Transparency.
The Plant Manager is responsible for aligning site operations with company goals, ensuring safe and compliant practices, building team capabilities, and delivering consistent performance across all site metrics.

As the on-site leadership presence, the Solar Plant Manager consistently demonstrates high standards in safety, integrity, communication, and team development. They are the cultural and operational role model for Origis Services’ principles of Safety, Accountability, and Transparency.
Key Deliverables
- Operational Leadership: Own site-wide execution of safety, operational, and performance programs. Drive high performance and accountability through clear expectations and strong daily leadership.
- Safety Culture Champion: Build and maintain a proactive safety culture by leading safety programs, audits, and training. Ensure all site activities comply with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and other regulatory standards.
- People & Performance Leadership: Lead, coach, and support site teams to perform at their best. Drive engagement, growth, and team alignment with company values and performance expectations.
- Process Ownership: Ensure implementation of Origis Services’ operational processes, procedures, and tools. Drive consistency, accuracy, and improvement across work management, reporting, and communications.
- Team Development: Develop and retain top talent at the site level through coaching, structured training, and performance management. Support succession planning and cross-site collaboration.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the Safety and Accident Prevention Programs. Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and briefings. Ensure all site personnel and third parties follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Serve as the site’s senior-most technical, operational, and safety leader.
- Coach, mentor, and support development of site-based technicians and contractors.
- Oversee the execution of preventative and corrective maintenance plans in accordance with standards and OEM recommendations.
- Drive daily performance and accountability to site KPIs and operational goals.
- Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance, outages, parts usage, safety inspections, and other key site activities.
- Manage contractor relationships and vendor performance. Ensure work is executed safely and according to plan.
- Oversee inventory control, spare parts planning, and replenishment strategies.
- Ensure high-quality care and control of site tools, vehicles, and materials.
- Maintain site vegetation and coordinate auxiliary services as needed.
- Represent the site internal and external communications. Coordinate with Regional Managers and corporate support functions.
- Be available to support emergencies, outages, and critical events outside of normal hours. Participate in on-call rotation.
- Maintain all plant-owned tools, equipment, and fleet vehicles to company standards.
- Oversee tool calibration, equipment inspections, vehicle maintenance, and inventory tracking.
- Exercise discretion and judgment when making decisions regarding local purchases, vendor use, and cost control.
- Monitor and report cost drivers at the plant level and communicate budget risks promptly.
Minimum Certifications
- OSHA 30-Hour Training for General Industry
- NFPA 70E – Workplace Electrical Safety
- First Aid, CPR, AED

Travel Up to 20% travel as needed
