POSITION OVERVIEW

As the CFO of SunWorks, you will be a strategic partner to the CEO and lead all financial operations for the company. Key responsibilities include financial and KPI reporting, financial controls and risk management, financial planning and analysis, organizational structure development and team leadership, systems implementation, cost management, and M&A integration. You will be a key member of the SunWorks executive team and work closely with the board, investors, and lenders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruit and retain top A-player talent for a lean finance and accounting organization with the ability to handle high-velocity organic and inorganic growth.
  • Implement best-in-class finance infrastructure and standardized processes to efficiently deliver timely and accurate monthly financial and KPI reporting. Complete an annual audit by March 31st each year.
  • Oversee all treasury operations, including liquidity management and financial controls across all entities.
  • Create forecast processes to accurately predict revenue, profit, and other key operational and financial KPIs in partnership with regional leaders. Maintain 13-week cash flow forecasts.
  • Optimize working capital through process standardization in AR and AP.
  • Lead the annual financial planning and budget development process.
  • Strategically manage and optimize costs of capital to maximize equity efficiency. Monitor all lender covenants and manage all lender communications and relationships, including monthly reporting.
  • Create a culture of cost management. Systematically reduce fixed costs by improving back-office efficiency, negotiating optimal pricing with service providers, and identifying and eliminating unnecessary costs. Partner with operating leaders to proactively identify and capture variable cost savings.
  • Oversee internal and external teams supporting the implementation of SunWorks' financial ERP systems across all operating companies.
  • Conducts regular systematic evaluations of all risks to the company. Lead risk mitigation efforts across legal, compliance, insurance, ESG, and cybersecurity.

COMPENSATION AND TIMING

A competitive compensation package will be offered. This role is based in-office at company headquarters in Dallas, TX.  Travel will be necessary 1-2 weeks each month.
