
Vice President, Operations
POSITION TITLE: Vice President of Operations
Reports to: President
Location: Vineland, NJ
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The VP of Operations is ultimately responsible for all service and environmental department functions, including planning, directing, coordinating, and overseeing: talent development, performance management, efficient and cost-effective operational execution to ensure continued business growth, and resources utilization through continual process improvements of the operation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide leadership and management support while ensuring Operations-related policies and standards are implemented, improved, and upheld
· Ensure departments are meeting annual margin goals
· Performs on target with individual and company performance goals and metrics
· Set strategic goals related to improving Operations performance and efficiency, aligned with OPP
· Oversee recruiting and training efforts to meet operational needs as determined through cost control and cost estimate reports
· Develop highly motivated and effective teams evidenced by reporting on and executing periodic and timely performance management and training
· Collaborate and communicate with company executives and other divisions to develop and deliver on the One Page Plan (OPP), budgets and business plans
· Prepare business plans, budgets and schedules where applicable
· Continual analysis of Operations looking for areas of improvement, resource optimization, end emerging technologies and trends
· Ensure managers comply with company and legal requirements as well as meeting or exceeding customer expectations
· Understand conflicts with teams and provide solutions
· Actively engage in prospecting potential new business or markets
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
High School diploma or GED and 15 years’ experience work in both a fast-paced service department and project management or within the mechanical/construction industry

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field and 10 years’ leadership experience within the mechanical/construction industry
Preferred Qualifications
· Familiarity with MCA / PHCC / AIA Guide Lines/Trade Trends
· HVACR/Plumbing/Mechanical experience
· Field estimating experience
· Project management experience
· Leadership skills
· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
· Verbal & written communication skills
· Attention to detail and organization
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook
· Ability to work as a team player
