Treasury Analyst - Orion Platform

New York, New York

JOB DESCRIPTION

Treasury Analyst

New York, NY

Our Culture at Orion

At Orion, we are builders. We want to be the gold standard for people in the Commercial Services trades. We are building a 100+ year business with an A+ team, driven, excited about the future, and looking for people who want to build with us. We believe in hiring people with a growth mindset who are committed to building something bigger than themselves. Our culture is grounded in four core values: Coach, Compete, Collaborate, and Commit. We strive to be low ego, high performance, and deeply committed to our people, our Operating Companies, and our long-term vision.

Orion Services Group is a growing network of commercial services businesses across the United States, spanning HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building automation, and related trades. We are highly acquisitive, integrating 10-15 operating companies per year, and converting each acquisition into a stable, growth-ready business within the first 90 days of ownership.

Orion is a roll-up-your-sleeves culture. At all levels, we expect people to prioritize, act quickly and effectively, demonstrate agility in their thinking, and get the job done every day. This is not a sit-back-and-direct environment. We value doers, problem-solvers, and people who are hands-on and decisive.

The Role

The Treasury Analyst keeps cash moving across Orion's network of operating companies, from the weekly forecasting cycle through banking, payments, and lender reporting. This role sits on the Platform Treasury team and reports to the VP, Finance, Platform Treasury.

You will serve two groups of clients. Our operating companies rely on you to run a predictable forecasting cycle, get newly acquired companies up to speed, and help them improve how they manage working capital. Platform leadership relies on you for a clear group-level view of cash, a secure and well-administered banking platform, and accurate support for acquisition funding and lender reporting.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership from day one. It blends recurring weekly and monthly cycles with project work, and a big part of the job is continuous improvement: finding ways to make each process faster, cleaner, and more automated over time. You will partner every week with OpCo finance leaders, Controllership, FP&A, Capital Markets, the deal team, and our banking partners.

What We Are Looking For

Core Competencies

Attention to detail - you check your own work before anyone else sees it, and you treat every wire, entitlement change, and forecast number as something that has to be right.

Follow-through - you keep the forecasting calendar on track and follow up with OpCo finance leaders until submissions are complete, without needing to be chased yourself.

Analytical curiosity - when a forecast misses or working capital moves, you dig in to understand why and help the OpCo fix the root cause, not just explain the variance.

Continuous improvement mindset - you look for ways to make each cycle faster, cleaner, and more automated, and you document the process so it runs the same way every time.

Sound judgment - you handle bank access, payments, and confidential financial information with care, and you know when to escalate.

Clear communication - you write and speak directly, and you can explain cash results to OpCo controllers and platform leaders alike.

Comfort with a fast pace - you balance recurring deadlines with project work and new acquisitions, and stay organized as priorities shift.

Low ego, high collaboration - you build strong working relationships across Treasury, Controllership, FP&A, the deal team, and the operating companies.

Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.

1-3 years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, FP&A, or public accounting, including relevant internships.

Solid Excel and data skills and a desire to grow them, including learning to build models others can follow, plus comfort using AI tools to automate and speed up routine work.

Exposure to J.P. Morgan Access or another commercial banking platform is a plus.

Familiarity with Workday Adaptive Planning or another planning tool, and a multi-entity ERP such as Sage Intacct, is a plus.

Background in a multi-entity, acquisitive, or private equity-backed company is a plus.

Interest in or exposure to leveraged finance, credit agreements, lender reporting, or foreign currency cash management is a plus.

CTP or CPA, or progress toward either, is a plus, not a requirement.

Key Responsibilities

Cash Forecasting and Reporting

Help run the weekly and monthly cash forecasting cycle with our operating companies, and help newly acquired companies get up to speed on reporting cadences and treasury platforms.

Help build the group-level cash forecast and weekly cash report in partnership with FP&A, and track forecast accuracy over time.

Monitor OpCo cash balances against targets and support the weekly cash sweep.

Banking and Payments

Support administration of our banking platform, including user access requests and bank account updates, in line with our policies.

Prepare wires for review and approval, and support acquisition funding and post-close payments, including tracking earnouts, deferred payments, and holdbacks.

Debt, Working Capital, and Governance

Help prepare quarterly lender reporting packages, track liquidity and leverage, and help forecast interest and other debt payments.

Partner with OpCos to investigate net working capital shortfalls, help roll out order-to-cash best practices, and support continuous improvement.

Help maintain legal entity and bank account records, entity compliance, and treasury procedures, and take on ad hoc analysis as priorities come up.

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the VP, Finance, Platform Treasury, and partners closely with OpCo finance leaders, Controllership, FP&A, Capital Markets, and the Execution team.

Work Location and Schedule

This is a full-time role based at Orion's headquarters in New York, NY.

Compensation

The salary for this role will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and alignment with organizational needs. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus and benefits. 100,000-12,000 plus bonus

Our Values

Own It

Take responsibility for your results and empower others to own theirs.

Act With Care

Strive to do work you can be proud of today and in 100 years. Lead with humility, curiosity, and transparency.

Be Agile

Have a growth mindset, embrace continuous improvement, and keep reinventing yourself.

Win Together

Serve the team, learn from each other, and collectively raise the bar.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
