Job Overview:

The Immigration Specialist manages U.S. employment‑based immigration cases, ensuring compliance with USCIS, DOL, and Department of State regulations. The role supports nonimmigrant visas (H‑1B, L‑1, TN, E, O‑1) and employment‑based permanent residency by coordinating filings, preparing documentation, and advising employees and internal teams on immigration requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file employment-based immigration petitions and supporting documentation for H-1B (CAP, extensions, amendments, and transfers), TN, and L-1A/L-1B visa categories, ensuring compliance with applicable U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and Department of Labor (DOL) regulations.
  • Manage and administer a portfolio of employment-based immigration matters including H-1B, L-1A/L-1B, TN, E visas, O1 visas and employment-based permanent residency (Green Card) by evaluating eligibility, reviewing documentation, and determining appropriate visa strategies.
  • Draft and prepare immigration petitions, supporting letters, forms, and documentation required for submission to USCIS and other government agencies, including preparation of Form I-129 petitions, Labor Condition Applications (LCAs), and supporting evidence packages.
  • Review and analyze immigration petitions and application materials to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements prior to submission to immigration counsel or government agencies.
  • Coordinate and manage immigration case preparation and filing processes in collaboration with immigration attorneys, ensuring timely submission of petitions and compliance with filing deadlines.
  • Provide immigration guidance and support to employees and consultants regarding visa eligibility, petition requirements, status maintenance, and documentation requirements.
  • Track and monitor the status of immigration petitions and applications filed with government agencies including USCIS and the Department of State, maintaining accurate records and case management documentation.
  • Assist employees in preparation and review of DS-160 visa applications, visa stamping documentation, and interview preparation materials for employees attending U.S. consular interviews.
  • Prepare and review employment verification letters, experience letters, and client/vendor documentation required to support immigration petitions and visa applications.
  • Coordinate with HR, recruiting teams, and hiring managers to assess immigration sponsorship needs and ensure compliance with immigration policies and workforce planning requirements.
  • Support employment-based permanent residency processes by coordinating with external counsel on PERM labor certification and I-140 immigrant petition filings, including preparation and collection of supporting documentation.
  • Maintain detailed records of immigration filings and ensure compliance with internal policies and U.S. immigration regulations.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for internal stakeholders by responding to immigration-related inquiries and providing updates on immigration policies and procedural changes.
