We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) Manager to execute and scale our outbound pipeline generation to support our growth objectives. The SDR Manager will be responsible for building the outbound process, call and email scripts and successful execution of outbound pipeline generation as a senior individual contributor before scaling the team and ensuring the team meets and exceeds their targets and objectives. We strongly believe in hiring leaders who can individually execute and produce stellar results prior to managing and scaling the function. 

Your day-to-day at Orkes:

  • You will be a hands-on leader that will operate initially as a highly efficient sales development representative to construct the function and successfully execute outbound prospecting before hiring and scaling the team further. 
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive outbound prospecting efforts, including cold calling, email campaigns, and social selling.
  • Monitor and analyze SDR performance metrics, such as call/email activity, lead conversion rates, and pipeline generation, to identify areas for improvement and optimize performance.
  • Hire, Lead, mentor, and coach a team of SDRs to achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
  • Provide ongoing training and development to SDRs to enhance their prospecting, communication, and sales skills.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to align outbound prospecting efforts with overall business objectives and target market segments.
  • Develop and maintain processes and workflows to ensure efficient lead qualification and handoff to the Sales team.
  • Utilize CRM and sales enablement tools to track and manage SDR activities, monitor pipeline progression, and generate reports on team performance.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices in sales development to inform strategy and tactics.
  • Represent the SDR team in cross-functional meetings and initiatives, providing insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement.

Qualities that will help you succeed: 

  • Experience in sales development or inside sales roles, with a consistent track record of over attainment of weekly and monthly targets
  • Highly self-motivated with an obsession on outbound prospecting and working with prospects on understanding their pain points and offering solutions to address them
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with prospects and internal stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of outbound sales methodologies, prospecting techniques, and sales processes.
  • Experience working with CRM and sales enablement tools (e.g.,Hubspot, 6Sense, ZoomInfo, Gong, Apollo, Outreach, Sales Navigator).

 You will have a fast start if: 

  • Prior experience in building and scaling outbound teams at a fast growing company.
  • Prior experience selling commercial cloud services / products based on open source developer platform is a huge plus
  • Comfortable speaking about workflows, micro services, containers, serverless 
  • Strong ability to articulate, educate and sell the business value to businesses of all sizes

More Details

The OTE for this role is between $140,000 and $200,000 USD. When determining compensation, a number of factors will be considered: skills, experience, job scope, location, and competitive compensation market data.
