About Us
Orkes is a platform for developers to build durable, distributed event driven applications. Based on the popular open source orchestration engine Conductor, Orkes lets developers focus on faster go to market with applications, scaling them to handle billions of workflows without having to worry about failures, scalability or visibility into the executions.
We are looking for a talented Solutions Architect to join our team and work closely with our customers to design and implement scalable, distributed systems. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep passion for helping customers overcome technical challenges. You should be proficient in Java and comfortable working across multiple programming languages (polyglot).
Your day-to-day at Orkes:
- Engage with customers to understand their technical requirements and challenges
- Design and implement scalable solutions using Orkes Conductor and related technologies
- Provide technical guidance and best practices to customers for integrating and optimizing their workflows
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance product features based on customer feedback
- Develop proof-of-concepts, technical demos, and architecture diagrams to demonstrate solutions
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues faced by customers
- Document and share technical knowledge with internal teams and external users
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends
Qualities that will help you succeed:
- Strong experience working directly with customers in a technical capacity
- Proficiency in Java and experience working with multiple programming languages (polyglot)
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, cloud computing, and microservices architectures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Passion for solving customer-related technical challenges
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

You will have a fast start if:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with API design, REST, and GraphQL
- Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems
- Prior experience in a Solutions Architect or similar customer-facing technical role

More Details
The base salary for this role is between $70,000-$150-000. When determining compensation, a number of factors will be considered: skills, experience, job scope, location, and competitive compensation market data.
