Job Title: Senior Manager, Corporate Development & Strategy
Location: Hybrid - Menlo Park, CA. Candidates will be required to be in-office in 3 days/week.
Position Overview: We’re looking to add a member to our Corporate Development & Strategy team. This position will play a critical role in formulating the strategy for the company and our portfolio of potentially best-in-class antibodies. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to take on diverse responsibilities and must have a strong desire to “roll up their sleeves” and contribute in any way possible as we advance our programs at rapid speed. This role reports to the Vice President of Corporate Development & Strategy. We value working together in person and expect this role to spend three days per week working at our office in Menlo Park. The exact title of the role will depend on the qualifications of the applicant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive corporate strategy efforts related to our portfolio of novel biologics, including pipeline and indications prioritization, identification of new opportunities, and other special projects
- Support our programs and company by conducting market analyses, performing competitive intelligence, building financial models, and providing analytical support for key decisions
- Contribute to business development, investor relations, corporate communications, and other activities
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership in the creation, refinement, articulation, and execution of our business and program strategy
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in the biopharma industry, which could include management consulting and/or comparable experience
- Strategic mindset with a record of delivering high impact insights
- Ability to apply deep scientific and clinical knowledge to dissect information quickly and develop data-backed recommendations for R&D programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with prior experience presenting to senior leadership
- Team-first mentality
- Passion for delivering paradigm-changing therapies to patients
- Undergraduate training in a scientific discipline
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate degree (PhD, MD, MBA)
- Prior Immunology & Inflammation
Compensation:
- An appropriate financial package will be developed for the successful candidate to include a competitive base salary and equity, with a performance-related bonus opportunity.
- The anticipated salary range for candidates, who will work in Menlo Park, CA, is $155,000-180,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Oruka is a multi-state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
