The Role:
Full Stack engineers on the platform team will design, develop, and support cloud-native web and data analytics applications and services using standard public cloud technologies and methodologies (you build it, you-run-it). Platform team designs, implements, tests and supports components and systems that impact all our customers and users through various standalone and cloud based applications/services.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Design, develop, and deliver high-quality backend services and web applications.
- Write clean, tested, and maintainable code that meets business and technical requirements.
- Work in a distributed Agile team and collaborate with other teams.
- Build user-friendly front-end components that provide an intuitive experience.
- Write end-to-end behavioral tests for features that you develop.
- Take ownership of projects from start to finish, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet performance, security and quality standards.
- Collaborate with developers on our VR engineering team to integrate new features and services.
- Research and evaluate approaches for new features, writing detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, or technical specifications to guide development.
- Continuously refactor and improve existing code to enhance maintainability.
- Clarify ambiguity and define technical options for investigation/evaluation, resolve and deliver insight used to define roadmap initiatives and work broadly across teams
- Proactively identify and refocus efforts when initiatives are either off-course, technically not feasible, or not impacting business/team goals in a meaningful way
- Build strong relationships among software teams and cross functional teams to achieve positive outcomes with customer impact
What You’ll Need To Be Successful:
Must have:

- Have 5+ years of experience in web application development
- Have 3+ years of experience of PaaS cloud application development
- Have knowledge of latest C# and Typescript
- Have experience working with distributed systems, HTTP and APIs
- Translate business requirements and work across teams to analyze options, design and prototype solutions
- Have excellent communication (verbal and written) and leadership skills
- Are a self starter, able to perform multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- Are empathetic, compassionate, and motivated by mission-based work
- Have an eagerness to learn and develop new skills
- Work in an Agile team, demonstrate work often for review
- Comfortable and willing to spend up to 25% of your day in VR
Bonus:
- Experience with Azure Services (WebApps,Functions, Cosmos DB, AKS)
- Experience with SPAs (Vue, Aurelia, React, Angular, etc)
- Previous desktop (Electron) and mobile application development (Android, iOS) experience
- Experience with build systems, CI/CD (Teamcity, Azure Devops, Github actions)
- Previous VR development experience (Unity, Oculus Quest)
Compensation
Our compensation package includes a salary of $120,000-$153,000, an incentive bonus, and equity options.
