About the Role
Otto Aviation is seeking a Data and Analytics Lead to drive data-driven decision-making and innovation within the AI Innovation and Design Lab. This role is central to Otto Aviation’s unified digital strategy, enabling advanced analytics, machine learning, and data integration across engineering, manufacturing, and operational domains. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in data architecture, analytics platforms, and visualization tools, combined with strategic thinking to support the company’s growth and transformation.
What You’ll Do
1. Data Strategy and Governance:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy to support Otto Aviation’s digital transformation goals.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies, ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance.
2. Data Integration and Architecture:
- Design and maintain scalable data architectures to integrate information from engineering, manufacturing, IoT sensors, and enterprise systems.
- Implement and manage data pipelines, ETL processes, and integrations with platforms such as Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE, ERP systems, and IoT frameworks.
3. Analytics and Insights:
- Lead the development of advanced analytics solutions, including predictive modeling, machine learning, and real-time dashboards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to extract actionable insights and identify key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with organizational goals.
4. Visualization and Reporting:
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Dassault Analytics Framework.
- Ensure data visualization solutions effectively communicate complex information to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
5. Collaboration and Leadership:
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and IT teams to understand data requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members and end-users on analytics tools and best practices.
6. Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in data analytics, machine learning, and IoT.
- Propose and implement innovative approaches to enhance data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.
Who You Are
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in Analytics, Machine Learning, or Big Data are a plus.
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience designing and managing scalable data architectures and analytics platforms.
- Hands-on experience integrating data from systems such as Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE, ERP platforms, and IoT sensors.
Required Skills
- Expertise in data integration tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica) and ETL pipelines.
- Proficiency with analytics and visualization platforms such as Tableau, and Python libraries (e.g., Pandas, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn).
- Strong knowledge of SQL and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or H2O.ai.
- Experience in creating APIs and ensuring system interoperability for data exchange.
- Certifications in Data Science, Cloud Platforms, or Analytics Tools (e.g., Tableau Certified Data Analyst) are a plus.
Where You'll Be
Otto Aviation is currently a remote workplace culture, with plans to secure a permanent headquarters for our corporate office in the next 2-3 years.
**This role is hybrid on-site at our facility at Meacham Airport in Ft Worth, TX.
