Junior Electronics Engineer

We are looking for a Junior Electronics Engineer. As our Junior Electronics Engineer, you will be supporting the design, verification, and documentation of embedded electronics. You may also take part in technology studies. 

The ideal candidate will have a decent understanding of some of the following areas: electronics design, electronics testing methods, circuit design, and embedded systems. As a team member, you will also collaborate with the cross-functional teams to ensure the desired product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electronics Design: Participate in the schematic design of multi-layer PCBs incorporating microcontrollers (MCUs), high-speed interfaces, power management circuitry, opto-electrical components, sensors, and analog/mixed-signal components under supervision.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Participate in the development and execution of test plans, building and validating prototypes, and perform functional testing to ensure designs meet specifications. Use lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers) for debugging and characterization.
  • Mechanics & Firmware Collaboration: Collaborate with the Mechanics and Firmware teams on Electronics-Mechanics integration and defining Electronics-Firmware interfaces, participate in board bring-up, and provide technical support during integration.
  • Component Selection & Management: Participate in evaluating, selecting, and qualifying electronic components, taking supply chain resilience and cost-effectiveness into account.
  • System Contribution: Contribute to electronic system architecture based on product requirements, considering factors such as cost, power consumption, performance, and manufacturability.
  • Standards & Compliance: Work on ensuring designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., CE, FCC, UL).
  • Documentation: Participate in generating and maintaining comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, schematics, test reports, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).

We would love to have You on our team if you have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in electronics design and verification, internships or academic projects are highly valued.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting electrical systems/products including analog and digital circuit design, bluetooth, wireless power transfer, high-speed interfaces, power management, and embedded systems.
  • Eagerness to learn and apply technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Basic skills of design tools such as schematics and layout tools (e.g. Altium).
  • Hands-on experience (academic or professional) with building and validating prototypes, and using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Ability to interact effectively within engineering teams and contribute to multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to work effectively across internal teams and external partners.
